It used to be that a press conference was a good way to communicate with your fan base and potential investors. But maybe they should just start doing events for investors, as the press conferences make "core" gamers weep, and aren't published anywhere their casual crowd is looking.
Nintendo Toaster. It doesn't make toast, or have any plugs, but it's got Nintendo written on the side in blue sharpie.

If I'm not mistaken, Nintendo won't show up at TGS.
Nintendo is full of surprises, so honestly I don't know what to think..
I honestly have a little glimmer of hope for SOMETHING... but I should probably learn to kill that bit of hope.
