Oh, hi there. Didn’t see you enter. Anyways, welcome to my humble little blog. For those of you not familiar with who I am, the name’s Brian. I’m 24 years old and hail from Findlay, Ohio. I work at the local newspaper here as a copy editor, putting my four long years of college to actual use. Kind of. I think.

For those of you who might recognize me from elsewhere, I work as Assistant Gaming Editor over at Blogcritics Gaming and as Features Editor over at Tomopop. It's a lot of work, but it's worth it because I get to do a lot of cool shit with a lot of cool people.

I've been gaming since the relatively young age of around 3 and I've played plenty of games, both good and bad. I'm continuously expanding my gaming collection, which has become more of an archive in recent years as I'm focusing on collecting older, less well-known titles. You'd honestly be surprised on what people are missing out on in bargain bins...



Other than gaming, I love anime, manga, sports, movies, TV, and a whole lot more. I also happen to have something of a legendary love for Cammy, to the point that I am the site's unofficial official Cammy fanboy. And yes, I do play as her in Street Fighter and do so quite well, too.

So, rumor has it that Capcom may be interested in doing more HD remixes of classic games after Super Street Fighter II Turbo's job was met with acclaim and success in sales. Capcom VP Christian Svensson said they could "potentially" apply the formula to other fighting games in the company's catalog, like Marvel vs. Capcom. But while he only mentioned fighting games, I have a hard time believing that's the only thing Capcom is considering when you look at the product they've been putting out for digital distribution on the consoles. And that led me to wonder: what game in the Capcom family deserves to be next to get a HD facelift? Capcom has such a deep library to pick from, and while there are more "obvious choices" to pick from, I'm going to go with my gut and say Strider. One of my favorite platformers from yesteryear, a graphics upgrade would go great with this game. Imagine something hand-drawn, like the A Boy and His Blob remake, with vividly animated backgrounds and smooth animations. Sure, some might say any number of Capcom's fighting games, but we've already had one of those. Some might say Mega Man 2, and while its a noble cause, I'd rather it stay in its current form. A game like Strider, though, could greatly benefit from an HD update, both in terms of game quality and of franchise recognition. It might be enough for Capcom to jump start work on a new Strider for the current generation of consoles. Plus, a HD Strider could come out for all three consoles, leading to great sales potential for the big C. But hey, that's just me. Let's hear what you think should be Capcom's next potential HD remixed game: pick any single one you want except the one that's obviously been done.
