About Me

Oh, hi there. Didnt see you enter. Anyways, welcome to my humble little blog. For those of you not familiar with who I am, the names Brian. Im 24 years old and hail from Findlay, Ohio. I work at the local newspaper here as a copy editor, putting my four long years of college to actual use. Kind of. I think.

For those of you who might recognize me from elsewhere, I work as Assistant Gaming Editor over at Blogcritics Gaming and as Features Editor over at Tomopop. It's a lot of work, but it's worth it because I get to do a lot of cool shit with a lot of cool people.

I've been gaming since the relatively young age of around 3 and I've played plenty of games, both good and bad. I'm continuously expanding my gaming collection, which has become more of an archive in recent years as I'm focusing on collecting older, less well-known titles. You'd honestly be surprised on what people are missing out on in bargain bins...

Other than gaming, I love anime, manga, sports, movies, TV, and a whole lot more. I also happen to have something of a legendary love for Cammy, to the point that I am the site's unofficial official Cammy fanboy. And yes, I do play as her in Street Fighter and do so quite well, too.

Also, I am Chad Concelmo's B.F.F., my prize for coming in first in The Great Retro Quiz .18 - ActRaiser. Accept no substitutes. Not even Aerox.

Forza 3 will not have disc swapping. I breathe a sigh of relief.

You might remember the great leaks from NeoGAF about a bunch of games that could or could not be coming out in the future. Among those games was Forza 3, a game we all knew was going to come out eventually (and one I was excited for). The news of 400+ cars and 100+ tracks made me feel happy on the inside, as well as the news that customization might get even better. But the news that all this would come at the price of a double disc game made me a bit sad. Would I have to swap discs to play different tracks or cars? How could MS fit all this content on there without a) going Blu-Ray or b) taxing my poor 20GB HDD?

Well, ask and ye shall receive. The folks over at The Angry Pixel asked a few sources about this possibility, and one shot back, “one way or the other, the core game will be shipped on a single disc. Content won’t be sacrificed … fans will be pleasantly surprised for what’s in store.”

So there you have it. Everything is going to be crammed onto one disc of awesome racing goodness. Now, if they could just hand-deliver a copy to me two weeks before it comes out anywhere else in the world... I'd be the happiest man alive. Oh, and for the love of God, please throw the Belle Isle Race Course on there this time, Turn 10.

Wow... I didn't hear about the disc swapping, but that is a sigh of relief to know that won't be happening. That would be awful!

"the core game will be shipped on a single disc"

The core game? Wonder what they mean by that.

As if disc swapping were some horrible inconvenience.

If I waited 30 minutes to install GT 5 Prologue's last-gen ass, then I can swap a disc.

I wouldn't care that much if it had disc swapping.

No surprise.

Disc swapping didn't sound like something they would do.

Installing the second disc sounds like a better option anyways.

I'm not going to be surprised if the proper GT5 has installations.

After playing the tech demo that was GT 5: Prologue, I am extremely excited about Forza 3. I honestly don't even care if I have to swap discs. I would like to know though what they mean by "the core game will be on one disc". What the hell does that mean?
