One of the big surprises on the Wii for me was Elebits, a tiny game from Konami where you threw things around the house to find tiny Elebits that would power various electrical things in your house. Part puzzler and part sandbox game, Elebits wasn't the most graphically powerful or control-perfect title, but it was incredibly fun and kciked the ass of just about every other third party game on the Wii at the time. Especially Red Steel. Oooooh, how I hated that game... >.<
I'd been waiting on word of a sequel from Konami for quite some time, as the game had sold resonably well for a launch-window title on what was a totally new kind of console. Today, we finally got news that Elevits: The Adventures of Kai and Zer is indeed on the way, but not to the Wii. The sequel is instead coming to the DS, which could perhaps be a blessing. The original's controls always seemed a bit wonky on the Wii, as fun as Konami's game was. The most obvious set-up will have the main action screen on the touchscreen, with vital stats plastered in the top screen on the DS. It will also sport a new isometric view instead of the first person viewpoint the Wii version had. It will also support four-player Wi-Fi connection multiplayer and is set for a Fall 2008 release. Woo-hoo! We'll apparently be hearing more about this at E3, so stay tuned, but I'm excited. :) (via 1up)

I think this will do very well on the DS, especially with wifi multiplayer. Nice stuff.
Since I don't own a Wii and really wanted to play the last one, I see this in my DS.
Elebits was a weird game. I'd probably try the DS game, dunno if I'd buy it though.
