This morning, while perusing my daily news Web sites, I came across a little article on an Oregon Trail-remake/semi-advertigame called
Thule Trail. It's being hosted by Thule Sweden, which is a company that makes roof-top carrying racks and trailers for cars.
Now, if you're gonna have the balls to remake one of the greatest games, it'd better be damn good. And Thule must have known that, because this game is, to quote Chad, AMAZING.
Instead of riding in a wagon to Oregon, you're in one of three cars on your way to the Atlantis Music Festival in California. Each car has advantages and disadvantages to picking it. Along with that, you get to pick an occupation and name your four companions for the trip. You also have to pick up gas and supplies, can hunt for food on the side of the road, can pick up hitchhikers (but be careful) and can compete in events for money. It's pretty much a great modern update of the Oregon Trail, and it's all browser-based. Kick ass!
I started an adventure from Chicago with myself, Ron, Niero, Tiff and Chad and made it to the very end with just about everyone in tow. Well, except one person, but I took pictures that will help explain the whole thing.
Can I ford the river?
Hells yes, I can.
