Just wanted to give you a round-up of all of the changes that took place during this weekend's maintenance. I'm nowhere near done but its always good to remind me if there's a feature or bug that you want fixed or added really bad. I'm all ears!
Here's what got done in this patch:
- Universal cblog navigation. One toolbar to rule them all! No more weird variants. There are some weird font issues I have to fix, but for the most part each community page should work the same. Forums are next.
- Google Chrome support. If your browser locked up when browsing Cblogs, it should work now.
- Digest view! Look at this hot shit:
http://www.destructoid.com/elephant/index-short.phtml
When you click on any game platform on the home page toolbar you'll get a shorter summary of the latest content instead of the full blown blog. Author pages, tag pages, and stuff like that also take advantage of this view. It's also fast as balls.
- Minor jaggy things fixed. We went through an awkward one week period where stuff just wasn't lining up. That's all good now.
- Shorter sidebar links on the home page. Features is now a section up top and we got rid of all the other crap nobody cared about.
- Shorter footer. The digest view eliminates the need to bunch that stuff in there. We'd rather give you the benefit of site speed.
- Smaller game review/avatar/podcast icons. Again, the site speed stuff. We'll be adding a section for previews/unreleased game content shortly.
- New user signup page now has a welcome message and explains the difference between blogging and forums. We hope this will reduce the amount of fail.
- Manage friends page no longer shows a double toolbar/looks exploded
- The Cblog post management page got completely redone and is available from your top links
- Corrected some weird spacing issues with the sidebar of cblogs where content went outside of the bounding box
- Fixed various Internet Explorer alignment and compatibility issues
- The login page has longer fields now for epic long email addresses. The error message when you don't put the right email now says "we don't recognize your email" instead of "wrong username" which was retarded of me in the first place. That was confusing people. The error message is also now a giant red angry box. Angry!
- ??????? - It's going to be awesome. Be here Monday night!

-Profit!
Nice changes and I agree with the digest view, makes scrolling through more stories easier and did notice that the page loaded much faster!
Awesome stuff!

Would it be possible (i'm not sure if everyone else would want this but I always have) to link your e-mail and c-blog account with the forums? I always thought it was strange that I had to make another account just for the forums.
Just a thought!

Like letting us edit our replies (surely you are sick of people askking for this?)
Also support for HDTV and Widescreen monitors (make the middle coloumn expandible ffs), you are making my mouses scroll wheel break.
^ Gamespot had a widescreen beta version of there site and it went down very well (I think they actualy switched to it now).

Basicaly I start typing in this comments box and then a few seconds later I get cut-off and the page scrolls up... meaning I have to scroll back down, click inside box and continue my sentence.
I know that the reason for this is because I start typing before the page loads up fully (as you have very slow loading times), yet other websites do not do that (if you start typing before page is 100% loaded up).
