Look. I like that the community gets together and does this. I like quails and futons just as much as the next guy -- but before this gets out of hand I'd like to state some ground rules on these blogs about Qais and subsequently Nex. I know most of you are good guys and are just messing around and hazing the new editor has become somewhat of a tradition, but I have to say this for the 1% of people that don't know where to stop.
I'm not asking anybody to be a Kitten McLovefest, I'm just saying don't keep me up all night fielding HR issues while we could be working on the site instead. As a small growing site we've got enough on our plate as is. Keep it light, keep it funny, but don't get personal or offensive.
So you know the drill: don't suck. What's considered crossing the line? Easy: if you have to ask then the answer is probably no. The site admins may temp ban your ability to cblog without warning otherwise.
On another note, don't spam the blogs with single images or brief notes. Edit your single post and make it longer and more epic instead please. Nobody wants me to install a bury button for cblogs, so don't ruin it for everybody.

They are picking on a new editor?
@Niero: It only took one look at the mighty ban hammer and your imposing visage to make me crap my pants for taking part in the hazing. Sorry for adding to your crazy busy work load, and if it's any consolation, I like what I've seen so far.
We fucking get it, you don't like the new guy. You don't have to be dickholes about it and spam the cblogs with trash postings.
And then complain when nobody from the cblogs gets some sort of front page promotion. Don't bite the hand that feeds, is all I'm sayin.

Who said we don't like the new guy? The only reason we decided to have a little fun with the guy is because ShadowXOR matlocked an old picture of him, and when he linked it in Qais's first post, it was mysteriously changed to Bat Boy. I'm actually impressed by the new editor's few cblog posts so far, so I'm certainly not trying to scare him off. We just thought blue hair was amusing. :D
I read one of his articles about Valve this afternoon.
I love this community, but crap like that just makes it seem like something you'd see on a GameFAQ's forum, and I for one would hate to see the blogs turn into something like that, or worse, get disabled because of it.
One of the countless things I love about this community SO MUCH is that we can pull stupid shit like this very, very rarely, and we dont get &B (the banhammer for you nooblets).

Also, here’s my idea of what the Ban Hammer looks like:
I totally understand how annoying it is to see your long blog pushed down by a simple post with a pic and one line, since it's happened to some of my lengthier posts, but come on: nothing was happening and it lasted all of half an hour. We're adults posting articles about video games; we can't be serious all the time. We're celebrating a new editor not with a ceremony, but with a party.
Plus, in case you haven't noticed, once the joke died, everyone hid their joke blogs. Good as new.
I got kicked out of a COD4 server today for saying "cheap ass".

The joke didn't represent the pinnacle of maturity, which given the target demographic of this site (and I'm including myself) shouldn't come as a huge surprise. Poor taste and bad judgment? But of course.
BUT on the other hand, I think stuff like this happens in an information vacuum. You certainly don't owe us an explanation when you hire a new guy, but it is human nature to go digging for info when a new member is suddenly added to our family. It's like when they just plopped in a new Darin in the middle of I dream of Jeannie.
Although, this leaves me with 2 questions:
We have a new Editor? (I seriously missed this, I hate that work is sucking away soo much of my Dtoid time now)
