Try Destructoid's new semi-secret feature "Toidlets" - a way to tag your blogs to an interest group that you can customize. You can create a topic that any community blogger can now contribute to, and each group has its own fap counter so the most relevant stuff floats up to the top.

We need some help to build this -- give us some data! Try tagging some of your old posts to existing Toidlets and voting up on your favorite stories.

not quite as progressive as the groups, but its a start. I created a toidlet and it doesn't seem to have the functionality to push a header or an avatar like some of the admin created toidlets. I assume this will come in the future to heads of the group.

This seems a bit too restrictive, since I can only invite people instead of actively joining the group. Thankfully I'm my own friend on this site so I can make it work, but I guess this is formed more as a clique kinda thing instead of being open for all.

It'd be interesting if I could bring other people's blog posts in to the group as a favorites kinda thing...but well I'm not really sure what this Toidlet is trying to be.

you have to be a member of a group and then you have to change the tag under a new or old post to the group you are applying it to.

What a lovely family home , I can�t figure out how to tag my posts :( Or how to join them groups :( I want a more freedom when creating my blog , can you do alignments and stuff now? Got more stuff , just have to sleep for once and stuff more porridge in my face brb , akso games are art nailed my feelings. I love the concept though !

Actually, I don't mind this. I'm not sure if people wanted a fundamental shakeup to the way the different parts of the site interact, as seen in the whole "New Dtoid" and Groups architecture. Groups were made into essentially the skeleton of the site, with all areas being built up from them. Although this worked well for the front page, it was of mediocre value for the cblogs and a general disaster for the Forums.

Toidlets, and presumably other new features that might be brought in in the future, will have a chance to grow in parallel to the already established sections of the site, rather than risk messing them up. People are usually afraid of big changes, so an incremental approach is far better.

I too am a little puzzled as to how to add a blog to someone else's toidlet... or if that can be done...

It's a pretty neat idea. I made a Toidlet for fanfiction and put a few of my blogs in there. It'll be interesting to see where this goes.

The posts are being added backwards in the Toilet. With the most recent addition appearing towards the bottom of the list.

The Toidlets seem kinda wonky, so far I don't think they remember who created them and anybody viewing them can add members. It could get messy rather fast.

I saw the "Groups" as a tagging system anyways so I think this should work well. I'll get tagging tomorrow when I'm on my computer.
