So I get this text message from my wife today:
"OMG. My Little Pony Live looks terrible."
My first response was, of course, "What the f**k are you talking about?" The answer was clear, however:
My Little Pony Live is a live action, musical version of the "classic" children's television show.
I was able to locate a YouTube video of this atrocity, a video which I'd love to embed, but you'll have to settle for a
link instead.
My wife assures me that this is even more terrifying in high definition, and I'm inclined to believe her.
Just so we're clear on what we're talking about here: this is a musical version of
My Little Pony in which people, presumably adults, dress up like ponies and dance around on stage. Some days I just love life.
Lets go WII WII
A cameo appearance from Rainbow Brite would have sealed the deal.
As for the adults that you presume dress like ponies and dance around on stage, I happen to be one of them. I'm not sure what you do for a living but let me tell you a little about my job. I have the opportunity to travel all around the country. I get to see a new city every week, where I often have 4 days off to take in the sights and the entertainment that that particular city provides. When I go to work, I have the honor of bringing joy and excitement to children. I get to see their faces light up when the curtain opens and they get their first look at their favorite pony. I get to see them jump up and down with excitement if you catch their eye and throw them a wink or wave to them. I'm also gaining valuable stage experience which I will use to eventually move on in the industry.
So again, I apoligize that our show is so frightening to you. It may not make you or your wife happy, but I assure you it has made a significant positive impact on thousands of children's lives over the past 17 months it's been touring the country.
