OK, so there's that now. As if it weren't bad enough that I'm constantly thinking about my Geometry Wars 2 scores relative to my friends list, now MyGamerCard.net has this. Honestly, I haven't spent enough time with Geo Wars 2 to get to the point that I feel "comfortable" with my scores. Now, don't get me wrong -- I've played the game a ton. But compared to the amount of time I spent rocking the original XBLA game back in the day, I've barely scratched the surface of the sequel. Or at least that's what I'd like to think. Since adding dozens of people to my XBL friends (via Dtoid and meeting people in "the industry"), I haven't checked my Geo Wars 1 leaderboards. But I used to be a contender. By that I mean I had the top spot on my friends leaderboard, with a score far and above the person in second place. With Geo Wars 2, friends who could barely touch my Geo War 1 score are blowing me out of the water. Have their dual stick skills improved that much, or is there something about Geo Wars 2 that has them glued to their controllers, desperately trying to make it to that next score plateau? Here's what I think: I'm not sure they've necessarily gotten better, or that they're on some performance enhancing Geometry Wars drugs. It all comes down to the leaderboards in Geo Wars 2 and how they're set up and presented to the player. Without going into detail, it's simply brilliant, and I think other developers need to take careful notice at what Bizarre Creations did. You can look at Geo Wars 2 and blow it off quite easily as "more of the same." And despite it having five new modes and cooperative play, the core -- for the most part -- really is the identical to its predecessor (the Wii and DS versions . But I don't think it's a stretch to say that Geo Wars 2 is one of the most (here it comes!) innovative titles of 2008, and has significantly changed the playing field and how we'll be playing games in the future. So which one of you fools is NOT playing Geometry Wars 2?

I'm still not sure how I got such a ridiculous score in Sequence though... I lost when I got that many points and when I beat the sequence I barely had half.
Believe it or not, I still haven't completed sequence. I was trying last night while lying in bed and well ... I used a lot of profanity.
I've been putting most of my effort into reaching the end of Sequence and ensuring that Chad Concelmo is never able to touch my score :D
Yeah I know how you feel. I spent about 5 hours one day working on Sequence and couldn't finish it.
I actually used a handy little video guide by [ur=http://ah.roosterteeth.com/archive/episode.php?id=306]Knuckles Dawson[/url] (he was explaining the smile achievement while going through the levels) to give me some tips on some of the stages I was having problems with and I beat it the very next try after watching the video.
Let's try that again.
Damn, I fail. At least most of the achievements were easy.
I AM BEATING NICK CHESTER AT PACIFISM!
Aerox sucks at pacifism! Nick I am so going to add you just for your damn Deadline score :)
Deadline and Pacifism are the only ones I really play. I held off on GW2 at first because I never reaaaaally loved GW1, but the leaderboards have be addicted.
NEENER NEENER NEENER!
Looks like I'll need to work a bit on Sequence.
im saving for castle crashers and rock band songs.
