Yo. I just graduated from Syracuse University, with a major in Television/Film at the Newhouse School.
I love video games, gaming/nerd culture, examining games critically as an art form, and all the useless trivia and data surrounding games. I am a consumer whore. Gaming is obviously one of my primary hobbies, though not the only one. I'm a regular on Failcast.
I also watch anime and read manga when I get the chance. It's mostly just mainstream and shonen stuff as a result of the ease of accessibility, though I try to see some more obscure series when I get the chance.
I have epic hair.
I play bass guitar and have been in a band. It's broken up. I lived the dream.
I love rock. I tend to gravitate towards various types of punk, alternative, or indie, though I'll listen to anything. Bob Dylan rocks. Also, random weird underground stuff. The NES sound chip was amazing.

Some important questions have been answered on Kotaku: First question answered: the 360 Xplorer controller will work with Rock Band. Second question answered (didn't know it was asked): while the game is rated T, they will not be doing radio edits, so expect to hear big kid language at least on the downloadable content. Third question answered: the microphones and drum kits will be wired on all versions. Fourth question answered (CRUCIAL): the guitars are wireless...sort of. The wireless PS3 guitars are mentioned as being "available." The 360 version will ship with wired guitars but have wireless ones available for purchase. To overcome the issue of 4 wired controllers plugging into a 360, the Rock Band bundle will ship with a USB hub. I'm not so sold on that wireless guitar info for 360. It's great that they will be available in some form, but I was hoping to buy it all in that cheap bundle. If I have to buy the bundle and then sell those controllers to go buy the wireless ones, that's going to be a hassle. And if I buy it all separately, that's going to be expensive. Meh.

It's not Microsoft being dicks with wireless, since there are wireless controllers being made. I'm just not sure why they're not standard. The only thing I can think of is to try to lower the expensive price point of the whole bundle to a slightly more reasonable level.
And don't even bother with GHIII's Les Paul controller, as it's nowhere near as nicely crafted as Rock Band's Stratocaster. (Disclaimer: I prefer Fender models.)
