Yo. I just graduated from Syracuse University, with a major in Television/Film at the Newhouse School.

I love video games, gaming/nerd culture, examining games critically as an art form, and all the useless trivia and data surrounding games. I am a consumer whore. Gaming is obviously one of my primary hobbies, though not the only one. I'm a regular on Failcast.

I also watch anime and read manga when I get the chance. It's mostly just mainstream and shonen stuff as a result of the ease of accessibility, though I try to see some more obscure series when I get the chance.

I have epic hair.

I play bass guitar and have been in a band. It's broken up. I lived the dream.

I love rock. I tend to gravitate towards various types of punk, alternative, or indie, though I'll listen to anything. Bob Dylan rocks. Also, random weird underground stuff. The NES sound chip was amazing.

If you're anything of a common gamer, you probably have at least a few PS2 games. Of course, it's a mystery which games run well on a PS3 and which don't, especially the new PS3s with no Emotion Engine chip. Realizing how ridiculous that is, Sony has finally put up a Backwards Compatibility Search Engine, just like Microsoft has had since the 360 launch. This coincides with the latest firmware upgrade that boosted the backwards compatibility...somehow. What's kinda sketchy about the whole thing is this comment: "We are working with game publishers and peripheral manufacturers to develop the appropriate hardware to play peripheral-dedicated PS1 and PS2 games on the PS3. Ultimately, however, it will be up to those companies to decide if they want to produce these peripherals to support this gameplay option." Yes, because I'm sure Activision and Red Octane would love to make a guitar peripheral just for the PS2 Guitar Hero games being played on PS3. Via 1UP Attached photos:
