So. Everyone likes Super Smash Bros. Brawl. For whatever reason, I expected them to include every stage from 64 and Melee in there. Well, 10 great stages from Melee got in, but I'm still not satisfied. So I ended up recreating as many remaining stages as I could using Brawl's surprisingly flexible stage builder. Almost every stage, in fact. Sadly, I don't have an SD card, so I can share pictures of these stages with you, but at the very least, I can offer to send you the stages for your own enjoyment. If you want me to send you the stages, post both your Brawl code and your Wii friend code. My Brawl code is 2277-6293-0947 and my Wii friend code is 8627-3860-8282-3732. It's easiest to contact me through email or IRC, though I'll be gone this weekend until Monday morning, so email might be best. A bit of word on these stages: I believe they are the closest approximation you can get to the original stages without Nintendo adding more through their proposed Pay for Play service. As such, I've attempted to recreate various aspects of the stages where possible, with mixed results. None of it's perfect, but if you disagree with how they're implemented, you're always free to use my design as a starting point for your own stages and recreate them. The proportions, however, are incredibly accurate in my book. In order to make these stages, I drew chiefly on my own knowledge of the original stages, particularly those of Melee, and referenced YouTube videos of the stages when in doubt. However, I still did check to see how other people had created some of their own stages. These people include IGN user SmashBrosComics and Dtoid's Charlie. The music used is either the original track from Melee, the latest arrangement of the original song that is found in Brawl, or the closest approximation I could find. Oh, and go check out Toneman's Destructoid stage. I'll list the differences so you know what you're getting into. Also, remember this simple rule: if the stage builder piece is slanted or you can jump through it, you cannot grab onto the edge. Super Smash Bros. 64 Peach's Castle The slanted walls on the side are present, but players can now stand on them because of the properties of the piece. Also, there is a moving platform at the bottom of the stage (two of them), but they are not as long or slow as the one large one in 64. Kongo Jungle The stage itself is pretty much unaltered. The barrel has been replaced by two moving platforms. To allow you to jump back onto the stage from the substitute barrels, the floor is now able to be dropped through. Hyrule Castle It may not look like it, but in terms of platform placement, this is exactly like the original. There are no tornadoes to grab you, so I attempted to compensate for this with a lower ceiling. Also, you can't grab on to the slanted side on the left. Bummer. Planet Zebes This was not created because Brinstar (Melee) was a very appropriate replacement, nevermind the Norfair level. Besides, the level is kind of boring without the lava. Yoshi's Island The main level works well, but the lack of clouds means they had to be replaced by blocks that drop once you stand on them. It's a decent replacement, though the inability to widen the screen further than its maximum means the far right cloud is closer than desirable. It was also hard to find a similar song for this stage from Brawl. Dreamland I would have loved to recreate this stage. However, without the Whispy Woods, this is just Battlefield and nothing more. Sector Z This stage is essentially a low-res version of Melee's Corneria, which is included in Brawl. Whaddya know! Therefore, I didn't make it. No sense. Saffron City One of my favorites from 64. The main stages are near-perfect, though the ceiling is a bit low in the process of trying to replicate the tall buildings. Don't forget that you can wall-jump on this stage, unlike the original. Also, there are obviously no Pokemon coming out at the top. The platforms on the left have been placed as best as possible, but still move around a bit too much and a little too high. Mushroom Kingdom I didn't attempt to make this stage because of the high amount of special features (warp pipes, weighted elevators, and POW blocks) that were present in the original. A shame, because I loved the warp pipes and wanted them in the Melee version of the stage. Super Smash Bros. Melee Peach's Castle The foundation is identical, though the ceiling is a touch low. The two small levels on both sides that rose if you stood on them are now stationary, simply because the moving platforms move too much and are too wide. Plus, from personal experience, players usually stood on the platforms for only a brief moment, so they barely rose at all. You sadly can't grab the sides, and there are no switches to press or bullet bills. Kongo Jungle This stage is recreated pretty well. The barrel is replaced by a moving platform, and as such, you can drop through the bottom level. Oh, and the horrible DK Rap is retained, for that added feeling of pain. Great Bay The main difference here is that the "turtle" is always present and never disappears, effectively making the stage much wider. Also, Tingle's balloon "platform" is present in the form of a dropping block placed approximately midway through his area. Also, bonus: you swim in water in stages now, so the lack of water allows the stage to work the way it was originally intended. Yoshi's Island I didn't make it because it's Battlefield, and there was no way to make Shy Guys fly by with food or make tiny clouds come out every now and then on the sides. Trust me, you won't miss it. Fountain of Dreams This is a very Battlefield like stage, but I ended up making it anyways, mostly because I love Melee's symphonic version of the music. The left and right platforms don't raise and lower from water like in the original, so I permanently lowered the left platform a bit to give it that uneven feel. Also, the stage is supported in a giant "glass" (re: ice) chalice like the original, to preserve the inability for Kirby to fly under the stage to the other side. Venom I didn't realize it, but Venom was one of my favorite courses from Melee. The ship doesn't move around at all, there are no ships shooting at people from time to time, and there aren't the occasional cave wall. Other than that, the layout is pretty similar. Mushroom Kingdom The immediate difference for here is from the ability to come back when knocked far to the left and the right by jumping back on; in Melee, you could basically walk yourself to death. Obviously, there are no breakable blocks, so I replaced them with jump-through floors. Also, the elevators are present as constantly-moving platforms. Fourside The main buildings are all identical in function. The crane platform on the left is placed on the farthest left position, since keeping it right over the building was not possible and would have been redundant anyways. The spaceship does appear over the right in the form of slippery ice blocks; the only downside is that you can't jump up below it. Also, the ceiling is lower to allow for taller buildings. The logo of the main building is in ice blocks because I felt like it. Mushroom Kingdom II Again, the inability to walk yourself to death is present. The flying carpet bird is a moving platform placed over the mid-right. In order to simulate a log rolling down the waterfall, I put a moving platform in the left pit, leaving the right pit for your meteor smash needs. All other stages They're either moving stages and impossible to replicate, included in Brawl, or are Flat Zone and change too much. That's pretty much it. I also have converted versions of Donkey Kong's 25m, 50m (altered to be more playable), and 100m levels, if anyone cares for them. Let me know if anyone's interested or has any creative ways to improve a stage. Don't forget you can remake them based on my stages to suit personal preferences.

I say no.
What the fuck Thuper?
You should learn them. And make a few friends while you're at it.
Didn't you see MechaMonkey's eulogy?
I hope, for your sake, that you fucked up the idiom on purpose
Don't you have anything better to do?
I always thought your name said thumper.
Right. That's why I used the word "remake," as in, "to make again," instead of "edit." The lack of that option is really frustrating, because you can't even change/update the music.
Also, try pressing ‘Page Up’. Or just use the Up arrow key. You’ll get to it eventually.

Necros, thank you very much.
A Sexually Disturbed Jedi has made me wary of the ways of the force on a whole different level.
Look
All I'm saying is that I'm from TJ and I've been living here long enough to know people.
Yeah, I've seen those, as I mentioned in the opening paragraphs. I used some of them for reference, but I refined small parts of them to get closer to the original stages.
Remember the rules of internet fights kids.
lets not feed that troll now yall?
Necros, this is a great post. Sorry it had to be soiled by a certain idiot who shall not be named.
If we could all as a community just ignore his posts until he's banned, that'd be great. Just pretend as if he's not even there. All he wants is attention and if we deprive him of that he'll have to go somewhere else.
