New Wii straps...again

So Nintendo is on its fourth revision of the Wiimote straps, now with a lock to keep the strap tight. Most of us are not retards and know how to handle a Wiimote. However, if you want to get the new straps, just for the hell of it, you can apply here. Kotaku is reporting that these are the new straps, though Nintendo's replacement program page hasn't been updated since early 2007, so I'm taking that with a grain of salt.

Keep in mind that if you already did the replacement program for four Wiimotes, I'm pretty sure you can't get any more, since there's a limit of four per serial number. I just got two replacements, so no big deal, I can get two more. Otherwise, if you really need them, find someone else with a Wii who doesn't give a shit about stuff like this. Seriously, what's wrong with you?

I think I got the first batch, I honestly don't know, but I've never had a problem. It seems the tales I've heard of people breaking straps are those using the Wii rather violently. And they must sweat too much. I've never lost my grip whilst playing strap or no strap.

about me

Yo. I'm a junior at Syracuse University, studying Television/Film at the Newhouse school.

I love video games, gaming/nerd culture, examining games critically as an art form, and all the useless trivia and data surrounding games. I am a consumer whore. Gaming is obviously one of my primary hobbies, though not the only one. I'm a regular on Failcast.

I also watch anime and read manga when I get the chance. It's mostly just mainstream and shonen stuff as a result of the ease of accessibility, though I try to see some more obscure series when I get the chance.

I have epic hair.

I play bass guitar and have been in a band. It's broken up. I lived the dream.

I love rock. I tend to gravitate towards various types of punk, alternative, or indie, though I'll listen to anything. Bob Dylan rocks. Also, random weird underground stuff. The NES sound chip was amazing.
