Yo. I just graduated from Syracuse University, with a major in Television/Film at the Newhouse School.
I love video games, gaming/nerd culture, examining games critically as an art form, and all the useless trivia and data surrounding games. I am a consumer whore. Gaming is obviously one of my primary hobbies, though not the only one. I'm a regular on Failcast.
I also watch anime and read manga when I get the chance. It's mostly just mainstream and shonen stuff as a result of the ease of accessibility, though I try to see some more obscure series when I get the chance.
I have epic hair.
I play bass guitar and have been in a band. It's broken up. I lived the dream.
I love rock. I tend to gravitate towards various types of punk, alternative, or indie, though I'll listen to anything. Bob Dylan rocks. Also, random weird underground stuff. The NES sound chip was amazing.

So, you've blown through Bioshock and are already sick and tired of mainstream gaming. You crave feeling smarter and more cultured than those barbaric, primitive Halo 3 fans. Where are you going to turn for your artsy gaming fix next? Off the top of my head, I can't come up with anything big that's coming out this holiday season. (Feel free to prove me wrong in the comments.) For lack of anything viable for your pretentious gaming needs, let me drop this little bit of news in front of you: the gentlemen at Team ICO Gamers report that this month's OPM (UK) says that Team ICO, makers of art-gaming monoliths ICO and Shadow of the Colossus, are working on a sequel. A sequel to which game? That's not explained, but it's okay, because at least it's confirmed to be in the same universe as the previous games. Shadow of the Colossus was announced as a "spiritual successor" to ICO and only later revealed to be a prequel to ICO, so I'd expect any future game to be in the same "spiritual successor" vein. Needless to say, don't expect any firm release date for a while. And now, a confession: I have never played ICO nor Shadow of the Colossus. I know they're good games and I even bought Shadow for DMV as a gift, but I've just never got around to it. I eventually will, but I've got a giant backlog of games to play, so it won't be anytime soon. On a scale of 1 to 10, how much fail is this?
