It may not come as a huge surprise to learn that Konami have announced the release of PES
2009 this autumn on most consoles imaginable. I myself am a fifa fan but hey it deserves it’s
chance in the limelight.

Rage Quit

So far the game's looking pretty sharp and clean, but judging by its 2009 release date i highly doubt this is in game screenshots. Still a FIFA boy though

Wow and to think I was gonna buy 2008 this week. I may as well just wait until this one gets released at this stage.

Given the total fuckup that was 2008, 2009 will be the first year I wait on reviews before buying PES. Hopefully they'll sort it out, but I somewhat doubt it, they'll promise the world but it'll just be 2008 updated.

(Note that despite the promise of a solid fix for the online in 2008, we still haven't got one, 7/8 months after release. Bastards!)

I reckon ill still be getting Fifa this year, the gap between the two gameplay-wise is narrowing every year, its good to see EA actively trying to improve gameplay and not graphical power. They pretty much have a lock on that now.

I know it seems silly but the whole real teams/divisions and jerseys/names etc... always was a huge thing to me. Shit, they even added my local team last year. Cork City F.C. One of my friends is on the starting 11, fucking weird watching a guy play himself in a game. I lol'd.

Yeah true 2008 was a bit of a mess, Hopefully they can pull it back for 09, it is looking good so far but you can't judge a game by it's screens.

Didn't Seabass even offer a public apology for 2008? That must have been a huge embarrassment considering they pretty much had a straight run of great games.
