FIFA 09 Release Date Set!

The release date for the football sim to end all others has been set. FIFA 09 will be released
on a whole host of platforms on October 3rd 2008. This is great news for me who is a huge
fan of the FIFA series as I am sure many of you are as well.

Is there actual new stuff in this game or is it just a soccer version of the Madden franchise?

Guess what? i can go outside and play soccer(football) with my friends right now! I don't see what the big deal about a game that releases at the same time every year with minor changes in game play and the main selling point being "updated teams". I bet they could give you all that and more if they just released a DLC pack for 09 to update your 08 game, but then they wouldn't get the 60 bucks all you fans so eagerly hand over.

Oct 3rd, not too shabby. Usually we get it at the tail end of October.

Maybe their trying to avoid the clusterfuck of releases that usually kicks off around oct/nov.
