Alright, this is going to be really short but I just wanted to inform everyone that one of my favorite FPS's, Prey, is going for $4.95 on Steam this weekend. That's 75% off. If you like aliens, Indians (or Native Americans), crazy gravity changes, portals or killing, you will love this game.
I've said it before and I'll say it again, I suck at video games. Now, maybe to a more casual gamer, I wouldn't suck as bad, and probably pretty decent. But, for the amount of games and time spent gaming that I have done, I am horrible.
2 weeks ago, as pretty much every person within the nearest 7 universes did, I bought brawl. I sucked at melee (what a surprise), but I actually started to get pretty good with this new game. I practiced alot and started to do pretty well online with Ike. I actually got good enough that I thought I could qualify the game as one of the few I did not suck at. That was until yesterday.
I have a friend who, while not really a casual gamer per-say, is definetly not hardcore. He'll play the latest FPS's or sports games, but he does not venture very far out of his gameiverse (this is now officially a word). So when he came over to hang out, I thought I'd show him Brawl and impress him with my dazzling skills. I did everything I could to make him as bad as possible: I gave him the wiimote without nunchuck for controls, I had him play as Kirby, he hadn't even ever played the fucking game before. Yet, through sheer button mashery, he beat me 16 OUT OF 20 TIMES!!! After throwing him out of my house in a fit of rage I decided that there were only three things that I could do. One, obviously was to commit suicide. This however, was not a convenient option as I had to study for a history exam. The next option was to give up video games and spend my life as a nomad wondering the country looking for food, but I'm not a big fan of walking long distances. So, I went with my third option which was to whine about it in a C-blog.
I am (or was) an avid Diablo 2 player. Since its launch I have constantly done Baal runs and Trist runs, hoping to gain some new loot or level one of my 4 characters. Going to school, my schedule has become very busy and I no longer have the time to devote to the game as I used too. This however, never prevented me from logging onto my account at least every three months so as to meet Blizzards retardedly archaic requirement and not have my characters expire. Now, as you may or may not know, I have been in the hospital and just recently have gotten out. This morning, finally being off pain medicine and coordinated enough to play, I logged onto my account. This is when I realized that, while in the hospital unable to play, all of my characters expired. Yes. ALL OF THEM. I was fucking furious that all the time and dedication that I had put into these characters over the years went down the drain. I was so mad, in fact, that I wrote a song:
(Yes after all that time my main was only an 88)
Now excuse me while I go cry like a little emo bitch.
Now, I don't know about you, but I think this is the most awesome thing that I have ever seen/heard in my life. I can just imagine kicking ass (or failing in my case) to the sweet sounds of lip smacks and tongue clicks as I trash talk my friends whilst drinking monster and eating Fritos. In fact, I think that we demand that all games come with a beatbox setting, so we can enjoy the engaging effects of faux urbanism as we delve into our gaming world.
I haven't been a member for long, but I've lurked long enough to gain a strong appretiation for the site and everything Niero's done. I hope its a good one.

And heres my 360 on my *FREE* 42' Panasonic plasma. I won it. That was cool.
About me: I am a thin, sickly little man who spends most of his free time sitting next to a computer reading destructoid, digg, and whatever other site where I can find things to do to avoid doing anything important. When I am not waqsting my life away next to a monitor (which is what I do in class as well), I enjoy skateboarding, playing guitar, mixing phat beats on my turntables (they actually aren't that phat), the occasional round of fapping, and of course, gaming. Also, cocks. Wait, that probably wasn't the right place to put that. Oh well.
Consoles I own (or have ever owned): Gameboy, Gameboy Pocket, Gameboy Color, Gba fat, DS fat, PSP, SNES, PS1, N64, Dreamcast, Gamecube, Xbox, Xbox360, Wii

Xbox Live Gamertag: ilikevag
