Ben Smith (mudkip5000) and I have finished our entry for the Blitz: The League 2 video contest. I think it turned out fantastic. Please let us know what you think! Written by Aaron Yost (me) and Ben Smith, with invaluable suggestions by Rob Smith and Bones Mckeen. Starring Aaron Yost, Ben Smith, and Jen Moreland. Edited by Ben Smith. Fun facts: Total cost to make the video: $13. We had about 40 minutes of raw footage. We'll be editing together a blooper reel in the near future. I'm fully aware that I say "Blitz 2 The League" in the video. You'll have to forgive me, as I was insane with homicidal rage. That's a Virginia Tech football we used, and yes that's intended as a tasteless joke. The last shot where I tackle Jen accidentally turned out to be a real full speed hit, knocking both of us to the ground. I ended up with a cut eyebrow and scraped knee, and she ended up with a bruised ass. Ben and Rob have been making excellent short films for quite some time, you can see more of their work at the Airport Road and Church of the Holy Weirdo YouTube channels. Check them out, and if you enjoy their stuff be sure to comment and subscribe! I also have some news I'm really excited about. Internet Superstar and International Playboy Geoff Mendicino has asked me to start blogging for the front page of FreezeCracker.com. I'll be writing commentary on gaming news and current events, as well as the occasional feature. I have my first two stories already posted, and after I finish with my operator license exam tomorrow I'll hopefully be posting a few articles each day. I'd love feedback if you have the time! Ben and I also are going to be working together on a regular gaming video show for the site. The above contest entry is our first video together, so if you enjoyed it keep watching FreezeCracker.com for more! We're also trying to come up with a name for our show, if any of you have some ideas please let us know in the comments!
