About Me
FANBOYS/GIRLS please do not flame or start a mini-war here, OK?

Ah, yes the sidebar, I'm a 19 year old muslim gamer from the eternal place of sunshine(yeah, right) Manchester, England. I've been gaming since I was six and probably spent more hours gaming than doing anything else my enitre life, being the proud owner of a launch day playstation. Though owning only a PS3, I love my mate's 360 and if XBL ever becomes free, I'll pick a 360 up, until then, I'm doing fine with my PS3. Despite the hardcore gaming, I work out, eat healthily and have a thing for fashion and believe a man should always look good, stay clean, and stay in shape. So I'm most definitely not your stereotypical gamer. I try to be as chilled, nice and laid back as possible, I'm up for serious discussion, but not of 'TEH C0NS0LE WARZ, YO!!' type. There are much more important things in life than humping a piece of technology, or hating someone, hating anything, anyone without just reasoning, just fucking sucks in my opinion, seeing as I'm an optimist.

I'm also a film-lover of all genres, all languages. I love to read and listen to most types of music, whatever makes me feel happy. Be it Alternative, Hip-Hop, Rap, R 'N' B, Dance, House, Techno, Acid Jazz, Jazz, Electronica, J-Pop, J-Rock, Punk, Funk, or the phenomenal, ageless soundtrack of Tekken 3, I'll listen to the songs over and over again. Finally, I'm currently studying Television and Radio Production at Salford university and making firm steps to, hopefully, become one of the best film directors in the world, srsly. Thanks for reading this, and have a kick-ass day.

EU PSN Store: I'm Going Down Hell's Highway Edition
Mushman | 10:19 AM on 10.16.2008 5 comments

Wilbo is currently indisposed with preparations with a trip, and has kindly let me do this week's update, thanks dude!

Hello there boys and girls, another week, another PSN Store update, this time with less 'win'.

Despite the relatively important update yesterday, sadly, there is'nt any major releases on the store, nor a lot of content added.

Here's the rundown:

BIA: Hell's Highway Demo

Available last week on the US store, this week us Europeans have the chance to try out another chapter in one of the finest World War Two franchises to hit consoles. However the download is pretty big, clocking at 1.25 gigabytes, so expect to wait a while before having the chance to play it. If you do like your shooters, but hard, tactical and having a great story, make sure to download this rather good demo. Though it is rated 15, and NOT for the kids.

Motorstorm: Pacific Rift Demo

Damn, time flies, I didn't realise it's been so long since the last Motorstorm! Here's your chance to try out the forthcoming game, the original was rather good, though the biggest drawback was NO offline multiplayer. Download if you liked the original, and if you want to try the demo out regardless of you feelings toward Motorstorm, please do so, it's a painless 617 megabytes.

The first Motorstorm can now be picked up from Gamestation, at a measely 10 pounds (used) , or on the Playstation 3 classics range, with a swanky silver metal cover at around 19 pounds. Bizarrely, the age rating is 16 plus, I do remember the first one having violence in it, but only enough to warrant a 12 plus rating, wonder if blood appears in this one?

Purchasable downloads/gamepacks:

EYE OF JUDGEMENT: Biolith SET 3 Expansion pack 6.99
(also available as a combo pack with SET 2 included, 10.49 pounds)

Never played EYE OF JUDGEMENT, though I am intrigued by the concept, anyone out there, how is the 'game'?

Tiger Woods PGA Tour 09 Firestone Country Club Game pack, 4.99
Sorry, not into golf at all, so no infomation on how the course plays!

Some Rockband songs, prices vary.

Videos:
Far Cry 2-Bara Bara Trailer (720P)
Tom Clancy: EndWar Announcement Trailer- (720P)
PAIN: Amusement Park Trailer (1080P)

Themes:
Killzone 2 multiplayer theme- Relatively large download for a theme, 8.4 megabytes, though it's too dark for my tastes.

All in all, not too much to shout about, a pleasant surprise is the demos, though more would be cool. Let's hope next week fares better.

Ciao, for now.

p.s, Go download BIA: Hell's Highway, Now!!

I came away from the Brothers in Arms Demo feeling utterly bemused. The voice acting was awful, in some areas laughable, detracting completely from the setting and the action felt tired and not nearly as visceral as it should of been. The weapons didn't feel punchy enough, everything looked unpolished and my overall impressions were that of a very generic WWII shooter.

Very, very disappointed indeed. I even went as far as to cancel my order. :'(

I was able to download the Pacific Rift demo a while ago and all I can say is if you enjoyed playing Motorstorm... then you'll enjoy playing it again. It's pretty much exactly the same except with Monster trucks and offline multiplayer.

Think I might try out Hell's Highway. I hear the food there is pretty nice

Killzone 2 theme I just have to get it. Although the store is down for some reason right now. Maybe more content? Who knows, I'll update you if so.
