According to an article over at Next Gen, K&L has sold more than a million copies worldwide since its release back in November, all but assuring a sequel will be made.

Even though the controversy surrounding K&L was immense, SCi Entertainment (along with subsidiary Edios) went on to tout that the sales of the game have exceeded those of Hitman: Blood Money, released in 2006. They anticipate sales of K&L to continue to grow, and expect the game to become another "key franchise" of the group.

A key franchise to Edios must mean a game with an ass load of controversy, great story, and mediocre gameplay.

What a cryin shame that drivel like this and games like Zach & Wiki and Uncharted aren't selling like they should.

Just goes to show that a decent premise for a game, poorly executed can still sell to the masses with styilized commercials on Spike TV & ESPN.

Oh and buying game reviews sure does help.

The commercials and previews made it look like such a cool game, and I really had faith in it, but when I finally did play K&L it left a somewhat bad taste in my mouth. Great story and characters though.
Yeah, the demo really turned me away from this. I agree with Y0j1mb0, the obscure games deserve much more recognition than K&L. Zack and Wiki was absolutely amazing.
This pile of shit managed to outsell Hitman Blood Money? WTF?
Who the fuck? Why? Damn them.
The game really wasn't that bad.
Am I the only one that though the Hitman series mostly sucked, too?
I think it sold because really, most people that would buy that game were average people who wouldn't over analyis it and get pissed that gerttsman got canned.

I played it, and it wasn't that bad, Just reminded me of GoW.
Most of the people who bought it were most likely the same demographic the game was aiming for. They also probably never even heard of the controversy that it was in.
That game sucks. Props to having Dawn Of the Dead in your banner.
I didn't think it was that bad, but it was worth a rent. Especially since it's so short. I agree that it was the marketing behind it that helped it sell. The trailer and commericials made the game look so badass.
