Losing Jack Thompson: A Loss for Gaming

It was recently announced that Jack Thompson will be disbarred. This is a huge loss for gaming. Yeah... that's right and here's why, instead of having a lawyer crazier than the animaniacs Jack's role may be filled by someone who knows what they are doing.

So I think we should all stop celebrating Jack's loss and start worrying, since the enemy you know (at least in this case) is better than the one you don't know. Jack may be replaced by a reasonable and articulate lawyer. I have to believe that this will be the case since Mr.Thompson is a special type of crazy.

This is the same argument I've been making in regards to Thompson for years. I'm very much not looking forward to the prospect that he may no longer be fighting in the courtroom over this. Although, I don't think it's been announced that he's going to be disbarred, only that it's looking much more likely.

Of course, his crusade won't stop. This will just give him license to get even more ludicrous, as he'll have nothing to lose now.

stupid arguments will remain beign stupid regardless of who says it. So a more moderate Thompson is not bad, is just nature balance.
JT is going to be missed because we wont have any parody anymore, is going to be boring.

This just shows that Thompson was an asshat with no real evidence to back him up. He was a drain on the court system, the next asshat that fills his place will be a drain on the system all the same.
