Or, Wii Remote Jacket if you prefer. In case you're living under a rock, this is a free accessory that Nintendo has released to cushion the Wii Remote, to prevent it from destroying things. In reality, I don't think it'll satisfy in this regard, but it seems to make the Wii Remote easier to hold. it's less likely to slip. Also, I'd imagine if it actually does hit a person (not a TV, it'll still break that.) it'll hurt a lot less. You can request up to four for free. If you care at all about ergonomics (even if you don't care about safety) you owe it to yourself to click a couple of buttons and get some. Why the fuck am I reviewing this? Because it's awesome, and it deserves recognition. That is all.
Where I work, there's these Wii Remote gloves that are being sold for $10, I can't help but think how annoying it must be to try to sell those after Nintendo gives a far superior one away for free. I'm guessing they'll never sell them, and they'll end up in a landfill like those Atari ET cartridges.
Nintendo apparently expect you to have these as well. I just got my hands on a second Wii. Not only did the Wiimote come with the condom, all of the graphics of the Wiimote show the condom. In fairness, that might be because of the newest Wii firmware. Hmmm... now that I think about that I'll have to see what the Wiimotes on my older Wii look like since the firmware.
I definitely find it easier to hold and it feels less likely to fly out of your hands. Of course, I've never thrown my Wiimote across the room before even without it.
@Clockwork: you might as well anyway. You never know, you might like them, and if not you can give them to another Wii owner who hasn't ordered them yet.
I got my four free Wii Love Gloves a few days ago... Not bad, and comforting to have when kids or drunk friends are over playing Wii Sports, but I usually take them off if I'm playing something. One of the kiddo's favorite toys is a Wii remote, so it's nice to have this on if he decides to start banging it on the table or tv.

about me
I used to be a huge PS2 fanboy, but i've fallen in love with the Wii lately. Since the SNES, the first PlayStation, and later the Sega Dreamcast, no console has ever been this entertaining. I generally only have time to play one game at a time (This is life! Retail is worthless.) so these big lists of what i'm playing aren't going to show up. I'm actually really glad to see Nintendo back at the top of its game.
My favorite games?
Anything Mario. (Except Sunshine, this game was FAIL)
Classic Metroid.
Final Fantasy (Up to X, XII is questionable... I didn't like it much. We'll see about XIII!)
Xenogears.
Breath of Fire series.
Tetris.
Bomberman (the PC-Engine/TG-16 versions... all others fail)
Dracula X/SotN
Nights into dreams (waiting for the Wii version.)
Sonic (1/2, SA)
Ridge Racer (anything).
Devil May Cry.
RE series.

Sounds ultimately useless. But thanks for reviewing it cause now I know its not even worth the effort to get these for free.
np.
yes, yes, i see. Indeed...

John B: my point exactly. Free stuff is free.
I don't need protection for my Wii! No glove no love? But it doesn't feel as good with it on....
It looks like a little snow suit for your Wii-Mote.
Very in-depth review of the Wii Condom! *claps*
