Destructoid is an open discussion community. You don't need to "audition" to post a comment - just speak your mind. We respect differing opinions on the site, so have at it. Be smart, funny, insightful, clueless, or cute -- but back it up with substance. Keep your cool, keep it fun. We only ask that you act respectfully and above all: don't be a troll and ruin it for everyone else. Don't bring down gamers or we'll, you know, gently shoot you in the face and stuff you into a flaming mailbox. Each comment is your opportuntity to make this community awesomer. Is that even a word?
Avoiding the banhammer only requires common sense: spamming, trolling, racism, NSFW stuff, and other forms of sucking will not be tolerated. If anyone is griefing please report abuse. Be good. Don't suck!
I will say however when a game tries so hard to be original it breaks itself that doesn't mean it loses it's value. It's just not fun.
As far actual reviews that commit the crime of condemnation based purely on similarities that's always a tell-tale sign of review quality in my opinion. I don't mind alluding to it like, say, "If you played MW2 than you'll be familiar with Bad Company's feature X," but the game itself should still be reviewed on it's own legs.
Aka it's good. I feel like these similarities SHOULD be mentioned. Gamers will instantly be able to relate to those big titles, and make a more informed purchase.
The key is that these similarities are GOOD.
Actually how is Darksiders?? I've heard of the title but know exactly NOTHING about the game.
@CelicaCrazed I think its fucking amazing its got fun combat, puzzles, and gallons of blood
