Well, yesterday i found something suprising. The day went along as any other ordinary day, just usual boring classes and the like, until lunch, i went to the cafeteria, sat down at my usual spot, and proceded to take out my usual lunch. i was eating it boringly until i spied something, not normal.... An advertisement on the milk carton of the person sitting across from me. Upon
seeing this carton, i immediately stole his milk carton and looked at it, and i eventually decided to take a picture with my crappy phone camera. The ad was the one pictured. It's not that i don't mind the ads, It's that i didn't think schools would ever allow things like that, and, with this, videogame critics could find somehting to make out of it... i can just see the headlines now " VIDEOGAME COMPANIES TRYING TO CORRUPT CHILDREN THROUGH ADVERTISEMENTS IN SCHOOL, SUPPORTING AN OBIESE AMERICA!" someone please tell me that this isn't going to turn out bad, because for all i see, it very well could.... yikes.
*edit July 1st 2008*
Well, back when it was in school, the above comments of course were made overlooking the fact that all of my school food is horrible and pure chemicals. The ads stopped after about 2 months , near the end of school. And also, now that i look at it. Why is there an ad of f**king
Rayman Raving Rabbids? I mean, honestly? Rayman Raving Rabbids? 2?! Putting the ads for something like that on High school milk cartons wouldnt be effective. Try targeting a younger audience, or getting a different ad. I know for sure that if Gears 2 was advertised at my high school, every guy there would start playing the first on, we would have giant lan parties of gears, in preparation for the second.
