The DESTRUCTOID party
Mr Fancypants | 11:51 AM on 11.12.2009 12 comments

Well, yesterday I found out that for my American government class I (technically my partner and I, but they let me pick the idea) Had to make a (fake) political party. After around 10 minutes of discussion, and limiting myself to American nominees, I decided to create the D-toid party. We get to make either a poster or short film promoting the party. And now for my nominees for Prez. and V.P.
Of course Niero is the prez, but as for the Veep? Anthony Burch, you are the lucky winner.

Usually I wouldn't post about something that I would consider quite so meaningless, but I decided that I might as well inform you two about it. One thing i want to know though, is that is it cool with you guys? I'm gonna make it no matter what, but I wouldn't mind getting your input, and the community's as well.
Chances are we're just going to end up creating a poster, but if you want something to say about what we should have in it, or any ideas or content, post a comment. This is a high school class, so obviously if you have too ...
...explicit of an idea, it won't be put in. And if we do use something I will give credit to whoever's idea it is. I'll be uploading the final result when it's finished, and I'll also post something about how the election went.

fun fun fun. I'm pulling for this.

The old ones still live on
Mr Fancypants | 2:27 PM on 07.01.2008 3 comments

Many of you fellow gamers play online shooters against other players, and have you ever stopped in the middle of a teabag, to think of how the ancestors of your current game are? Well, being one of the gamers lacking the funds for an XBL gold membership, and also lacking any free console shooters, is forced to play on my pc, this wouldn't be a problem, except that my pc is pretty damn slow compared to other machines out there. (i can't even play halo on this thing) So, i put the original Tribes, and Half-life 1 on my computer. I decided to try Tribes first, and i was amazed at the number of servers. There are enough servers and mods for me to play on a different server every day for around 2 years. And there are a few main mods, along with mini mods to the game. I played around for a bit, and then i tried Half life, but as i went to the play online section, i was dissapointed at the number of working servers. so somehow, A game with more widely recognized mods, is less played than an older game that less people know about. And so, i reatreat back into the Tribes, Land in my favorite server, grab my musket, and head off.

(sorry about the lack of screens, for some reason, whenever i tried to take one the color got all wonky)

School Milk Carton Companies with a Video game AD!?
Mr Fancypants | 7:53 AM on 02.13.2008 4 comments

Well, yesterday i found something suprising. The day went along as any other ordinary day, just usual boring classes and the like, until lunch, i went to the cafeteria, sat down at my usual spot, and proceded to take out my usual lunch. i was eating it boringly until i spied something, not normal.... An advertisement on the milk carton of the person sitting across from me. Upon
seeing this carton, i immediately stole his milk carton and looked at it, and i eventually decided to take a picture with my crappy phone camera. The ad was the one pictured. It's not that i don't mind the ads, It's that i didn't think schools would ever allow things like that, and, with this, videogame critics could find somehting to make out of it... i can just see the headlines now " VIDEOGAME COMPANIES TRYING TO CORRUPT CHILDREN THROUGH ADVERTISEMENTS IN SCHOOL, SUPPORTING AN OBIESE AMERICA!" someone please tell me that this isn't going to turn out bad, because for all i see, it very well could.... yikes.

*edit July 1st 2008*

Well, back when it was in school, the above comments of course were made overlooking the fact that all of my school food is horrible and pure chemicals. The ads stopped after about 2 months , near the end of school. And also, now that i look at it. Why is there an ad of f**king
Rayman Raving Rabbids? I mean, honestly? Rayman Raving Rabbids? 2?! Putting the ads for something like that on High school milk cartons wouldnt be effective. Try targeting a younger audience, or getting a different ad. I know for sure that if Gears 2 was advertised at my high school, every guy there would start playing the first on, we would have giant lan parties of gears, in preparation for the second.

 about me

I've been gaming since i was a wee laddie (we have pictures of me sitting on mah da's lap in diapers while playing a game) And i've been gaming ever since. As far as my favorite game, i like too many games to have one, (it's like asking me whether i prefer pizza or the color blue) Right now i'm not playing anything much........ I desire to get borderlands and other new games however. I currently own a PS2 Wii Xbox360 PC (<--crappy) and a PSP.
