I thought this might be a good way to introduce myself to the Destructoid community, so here goes:

1. My DS lite is more or less glued to my person. I deliciously enjoy playing with it every moment I can.

2. I have never played a single Final Fantasy game.

3. I am deathly afraid of spiders. Yes, I'm aware that it's a pretty girly fear, but come on. Spiders are disgusting little creepy-crawly hands scuttling about with disturbing speed, trying to drag you back to their web so they can feast on your mummified corpse. I believe the fear is justified.

4. I love to be challenged – the tougher, the better. Anything that I think I can't do, I try to succeed in. I figure you don't know what your limits are until you try, and if you're going to try then you have to give it your very best. As long as you're doing your best, you can accomplish anything.

5. I'm a huge science geek. Specifically, I have always been fascinated by the human body, and right now I'm studying to become a biomedical researcher.

6. Cooking is a passion of mine, fuelled largely by my Italian upbringing and the fact that I do the majority of the cooking at home. I always feel at ease in my kitchen, whipping up a new recipe or experimenting with different flavours. As much as I think about running my own restaraunt someday, I don't think it could compare to the satisfaction of simply cooking for family and friends.

7. Milk is my favourite thing to drink, and by my own sworn daily routine I polish off about a litre every day.

8. I have never won a contest in my life.

9. My earliest memory is of riding an elephant. Elephants > Ponies.

10. Family is the most important part of my life. I feel extremely fortunate to have so many people that I can both celebrate with and turn to for support. My dad and younger sister are the biggest influences in my life; they're my role models and I'm very proud of them both.

So there you have it. I hope I get to know some of you a bit better, too, and maybe even make new friends in the process!
