Love him or hate him, (love him, seriously?) Uwe Boll is a controversial character. At least, he would be if anyone had anything positive to say about any aspect of his life, personality or body of work.
Still trying to drum up some support for his latest abortion, 'Postal', Oo-vay appeared as a surprise guest at PAX, in order to take questions from the 'fans'. After rambling for a few minutes, he plays an incredibly unfunny clip from 'postal' (think 'Airplane!' meets 'United 93').
Hilarity/soul-crushing rejection ensues as most of the audience leave in their droves. Someone at least stays long enough to tell him to 'get the fuck out of this stadium'. I couldn't bear to watch until the end, but I know what I would say to him if I had the chance. I'd simply ask him to take any money he may have made, put himself through film school, and learn to MAKE A FUCKING MOVIE, or just stop trying. His terrible adaptations are harming both the film and game industries in one fell swoop.
Anyway, hit the link for the most painful 29 minutes you'll see today (well, unless you watch a Uwe Boll film). Jump to 13.22 for amusing lady-heckling. Video provided by the good ladies and gents at

Here's the web 2.0 bit - Has anyone out there actually had the misfortune to watch one of his movies, and what did you think? (Smirk...)
With AitD, I could really see why people would get upset about it. The game was a classic, the entire script was terrible etc. But since Bloodraynd and the trailers for Postal/Dungeon Siege, it felt more and more like "heh, ohhh Uwe what are doing now?". I'll give him respect for going on stage on so many occasions. But his movies still suck and he's a still terrible director.
As long as he doesn't touch any of the licenses I care about, he can make movies and do silly things for all I care. Just don't expect me to do anything else than leech dvd-screeners of his movies. Postal looks kinda different from the other game-movies though, and it's not even getting that bad reviews.
But it's probably shit.
I wonder why women can't collaborate in the same way about crappy romantic movies. They might end up watchable if they did.
