Today I showed to my public just how dorky I am.

I went to our local Toys 'R' Us (over in Silverdale, WA) and got me a Manaphy.

I was joined at this Pokemon event by a large line of children (some of which my boyfriend knew from the elementary school he volunteered at) and a handful of adults (one of which looked just a few years older than me, and had his parents in tow).

I sure did feel like one creepy adult.

Funnily (is that a word?) enough, we were able to just download our Manaphy while we were waiting in line (this is due to the fact that we had already enabled our mystery gift thing), so we decided to depart for the rest of our shopping duties at the mall instead of imposing our creepiness on the children for even longer. The only thing we would have received for waiting longer was a $5 coupon that expired the next day, so we didn't miss much.

I went with my GF. Short but sweey. Picked up Namco Museum with teh five dollar off coupon. Pac Man Vs is awesome.

All in all the experienc was fast totally uneventful, not like the other Pokemon events I went to for Mew and Celebi.

I'll trade me Pokemonz with you sometime if you want. I gots the mudkips, and Deoxys and Mew and Celebi.

@ sir knotts - O yay. :3 I don't think I would have gone by myself, I was glad to have my boyfriend with me (plus, he wanted the damn manaphy even more than I did).

ENTIRELY UNEVENTFUL. T'was boring except for seeing a few kids we knew (how embarrassing :C).

O RRY? Shit yes plz. I will have to finish my first run-through of the game and do the ceremonious transferring of pokemon to a different game cartridge and restarting so I can get doubles of the rares and give them to my boyfriend. WHOO.

This one was so much easier than the ungodly Mew event from awhile back. Three hours and the line didn't move more than four feet. I wish I was exaggerating. After enough parents started complaining loudly enough, the staff championed one of the children in the line to be an official helper and gave him one of the Mew carts to get all of our asses through the enormous line.

I wish to kiss the feet of whatever wonderful human being decided to make the Mystery Gift option.

There would have been much stabbing, except that listening to the uptight couple with the failing marriage ahead of us was absolutely hilarious.

"Donna, this is ridiculous. We're going to miss the ballet!"

"We've been here almost two hours now!"

"Why does he have this stupid hobby anyway?"
"You're a grown man with tickets to the ballet. Shut up."

They were also in full formal regalia. At noon. Many were the lulz.

OH MY GOD. Silverdale XD. Did you go over to the Kataluma Chai Co. while you were thar at least? That's about the only positive I remember from when I used to have a boyfriend I'd visit out there.

Also I was thinking about taking my boyfriend to do this at the Toys'r'Us in Bellevue, but we are VERY VERY VERY busy sleeping.

@ Wedge - Okay I went to this Kataluma Chai website and it says they're in the mall across from the Gap, which is TOTALLY UNTRUE THAT'S NOT WHAT'S THERE THOSE LIARS. Did it... die? ;o;

Sleeping needs to take up more of my day but my boyfriend and cat wake up at 7am. Boyfriend goes out and plays video games, cat comes in and ATTACKS MY FACE. Guh.
