We Are Finally Getting Arcana Heart!
MonkeyKombat | 3:07 AM on 02.01.2008 9 comments

This 2D all-girl fighter is finally coming out stateside in April. The game was originally released in Japan sometime late last year. I have been keeping up with the game ever since it was announced last year for the PS2, but never bothered to import it for some reason and I won't have a reason to soon.

The game has a selection of 11 stereotypical anime chicks whom you can customize, Whether you'd like to customize their attacking or defensive skills. There is a Homing Cancel system that allows you to follow your opponent after launching them into the air and lets you pull off combos in midair to keep the combo counter running. Judging from the footage i've seen of the game, the action seems fast and very Guilty Gear-Like.

If you're a fan of fighting games, then should definitely keep an eye out for this game. If anyone has imported or played the game at an arcade, then I would love to hear what you think of the game.

I've heard much raving about the import version of this game, looks like i'm gonna have to pick this one up and see what it's all about :3

I've watched people play it and saw some video's on Youtube. Looks like there is a LOT of focus on specific combos, but also a couple options for interupting them. I'd be interested in playing it though, definitely. Too bad none of my "friends" are into fighting games much...

Hmm, interesting.

Who's bringing this stateside? I'd like to shake their hand, and when no one's looking, give their asses a nice firm squeeze.

this was already posted last night but this games needs as much push, knowing, and popularity outside the hardcore fighters.

At least I can findo ut the storyline.

Atlus is bringing it stateside. Which is kind of strange if you ask me.

I think, just like the end of the PSOne life cycle, Sony has probably reduced the fees and standards for releasing games on the PS2, so, hopefully, will be seeing a lot more crazy Japanese games over here.

Although I've heard they are often crap, I'd love for some of the Simple Series games to get over here. Especially Zombies Vs. Ambulances ~!
