About Me Moltar is an animated fictional character from the 1966 Hanna-Barbera animated series Space Ghost and Dino Boy who appears as one of Space Ghost's arch enemies. He is a "lava man" wearing a containment suit with metal plating. His name was coined by the chief animator for Hanna-Barbera, and is actually the surname of a family who were the animator's neighbors, and whose precocious four year old daughter was a constant fixture in his home. He is from the planet Moltor, and is known as "the lord of the mighty ovens that can incinerate any and all foes."
After his capture by Space Ghost and subsequent employment in Space Ghost Coast to Coast, he is given the job of director and producer
Mixed martial arts promotor UFC (Ultimate Fighting Championships) seems to be gaining momemtum all the time. I've been a fan for years, but the sport as a whole seems to be sneaking into mainstream sports circles. THQ, who have been responsible for the highly successful WWE Smackdown games, are the company behind the new game, UFC Undisputed.
The game will feature a roster of over 80 UFC fighters, as well as the standard create-a-fighter mode, career mode and online play. I don't know how well known the UFC or whatever is here, but I've played previous UFC games for the x-box and they were all pretty stinky. The THQ WWE games are quite fun to play, so I trust THQ should be able to make a pretty decent UFC game.
I'd like to see if anyone else is at all interested in this game, because I am.
MMA is a much more fluid thing than wrestling though (that video looks really stop start) and there is rarely one person in total control, any action usually has some sort of reaction or attempted escape/counter/struggle performed with it, and the video didn't really show that.
MMA is one of the hardest sports to transition to video game. This doesn't really look like the first game to be successful either. THQ did make some pretty good wrestling games, so I will hold out some hope, I'd try this no matter what anyways. Also, that didn't really look like Forest Griffin, the Rampage model was a lot more realistic.
