Hey it's Wishbone.
WHATS THE STORYYYY WHISBONEE!!!?!?!? *Bark*
I unno what you're complaining about. PS2 Okami came out at 39 IIRC. Either way, the game is well worth 29,39, or 49.
well I said I wasn't gonna respond to you anymore, but then you went and hid all your blogs which indicates to me that you realized your mistake and but your still legit about wanting to participate in DToid. If that's the case, then I was definately to harsh on you earlier and apologize for being a bit of asshole. Still, if you would like to have an intelligent conversation in why I thought your prior arguments were flawed I'll definately oblige (I thought your opinions were perfectly valid, but your arguments weren't. And when people coming and try to pass opinion as some sort of philosophical truth without proper grounding, it really irks me. I apologize for going off on you when simply set of one my pet peeves. I usually level headed. really.).
Anyway, as for the pricing issue, it's rather simple if you understand that gaming, and all entertainment media, is considered a luxury. It's not a necessity of life, it's something for people that have the desire and money. This true throughout history. Nowadays, things like paintings and art are common, but back in the Renaissance, they too were a luxury afforded by only those that had the money. It's the same thing in a modern shell. When something is a luxury, it will be sold at whatever price it can be sold at. If the developers felt that adding the wii controls was enough to add 10 dollars to the price, that's their right, and it will likely remain that way until sales drop, after which it will recieve a price drop. I could carry this explanation further into economics theory but that shit is just boring.
Its Okami. I will gladly pay whatever they're asking to play it.
My previous posts were flawed after further consideration, but never the less... I graciously accept your apology ceark, and I hope we can move on to better ground from here.
I perfectly see your point and I suppose it is the counter argument to my post. Things will be priced what people will pay. I just don't understand the inconsistencies betweens companies. Like I said with RE4 for example. They released it at 29.99, which is the main budget price point of the Wii. It would make sense for them to release it at that price and please the public, which also means more sales. Unless not enough people think like me that is lol.
Hmm...10 bucks extra huh?
Well i can't wait for this port because i never got a chance of picking up the PS2 Ver.
Hopefully new stuff will be added like they did with RE4...the Ada Story and whatnot
I was expecting $30, but I'll still get it at $40. And it's nothing new, Bully sells for $50 on Wii (and totally worth it).
OH my cod it is wishbone
Personally, I thought the same thing --- I expected it to be $30, like Capcom's RE4 remake, but it IS Okami, so I'm willing to pay this again in a heartbeat.
I actually wasn't a huge fan of Okami to be honest. The game actually bored me to tears, in fact I found myself falling asleep during it it was so boring. However, I will say thing, the Wii is the perfect console for Okami considering it's game mechanics where you have paint shapes and such on the screen. In fact, it might actually make it a little more fun, but maybe not. Who knows? I'm probably like the only person who didn't like the game.
Since I haven't played it and want to...I'll buy it for 40
I can't waaaait for this gaaaaame argh.
anythign below $40 is a steal for this game. and it makes sense to be more expensive on a platform it hasn't been released for. its not like they're bending you over.
