Yeah, I know, another one. Sorry.
I've been here for some months now (since september, I think), but I never introduced myself, so here I go:
My name is Lucas, and I live in Brazil. I'm 16, and I've been gaming since I was 4. I was introduced to games when my friend bought a SNES, and I went to his house everyday to play Donkey Kong Country, Super Metroid, Chrono Trigger and, most important, A Link To The Past, which was the game that changed everything to me.
A year later (1997), I bought my first console, the Nintendo64. As the years passed, Super Mario 64, Banjo-Kazooie, Goldeneye, Pokémon Snap and other titles were part of my collection, but, as I said before, I was a big fan of AlttP, so you can guess which games I liked the most. Ocarina Of Time and Majora's Mask. To this day, OoT is still my favorite game of all time, to the point where I own the Collector Edition and Master Quest for the Gamecube.
Anyway, sometime after that, I moved to another city, and I was given a PS2 as a birthday present. This is where I changed from a person who liked games to a real gamer. Okami, God Of War, Shadow Of The Colossus, Final Fantasy, Kingdom Hearts and lots of other stuff, made me realize how much games were important to me. Then, I bought a Gamecube, and all the Zelda titles made me a happy nerd. Metroid Prime 1 & 2 were also games that I enjoyed (and still do), together with Crystal Chronicles and Meele.
I decided to play classics games that I missed too, so I not-emulated lots of classic Genesis, SNES, NES, Gameboy and Gameboy Advance games. Oh yeah, I owned a Gameboy Color too, the "special pikachu edition" or something, but I gave that to a friend as a present.
Regarding the current-gen consoles, I only own a Nintendo Wii, and i'm actually happy with it, although I do think that friend codes suck. I would really want to buy a 360 and a PS3, but I don't have the money, so for now, I can only play 360 games at my cousin's house. Great console.
Also, a list:
Top Five Games:
-Ocarina Of Time
-Shadow Of The Colossus
-Chrono Trigger
-Super Metroid
-Majora's Mask
Honorable mentions: Okami, A Link To The Past.
Besides gaming, I'm a huge Doctor Who fan (see my avatar), I like some anime (mostly Cowboy Bebop and Gurren Lagann) and I'm into literature and art. I love classical music, and my favorite composer is Antonín Dvorák. Movies are another thing I like, and my top five movies are:
-The Godfather
-Monty Python and The Holy Grail
-Ran
-Spartacus
-El Cid.
Well, that's it, I guess! Sorry for the long text, I got carried away. And sorry for my bad english.
tl;dr: i like games, doctor who, music and movies. late introduction.

Welcome to Destructoid, I love you.
Welcome, welcome.
Welcome to destructoid! Are you a redneck? Because we are all rebel flag waving rednecks here at Dtoid.
you're not welcome to dtoid. i hates you. yee-ha
you bought your first console at 12 or was given to you? hell, i didn't buy my first console till i was 17 (dc) with my own money.
@Qraze
Actually, since I bought the N64 in 1997, I was 5 years old. I "kinda" bought it. My grandma used to give me money for birthday, so I gave it to my parents and they used it to buy the console.
Every other console I own was given to me, but I bought every game with my own money. This means I have to buy every game used, but whatever, they're as good as new.
Nowadays, games here in Brazil cost like, 150 dollars (300 reais), so I buy them used from the internet (secondspin, more precisely), where I can pay 15 dollars for a Wii game, free shipping.
Woah, there, Qraze! Easy, man. Remember what we went over in group.
You have good tastes.
Nice Dr avvy btw.
Your English is far better than a lot of intro posts from honkies. Welcome to DToid, don't suck!
Woohoo! More Brazilians! =D
Welcome to Destructoid. Haha yeah there really has been a lot of people joining today. Are we giving away beta-keys or something?? Oh well, the more the merrier.
Welcome to Destructoid, please refrain from feeding the trolls. The exits found at either the top-left or top-right of this window have been checked, and are clear in the event of an emergency. Thank you, and enjoy the show.
Also, mad props for the 4th doctor avatar. You certainly have good taste. (This constitutes my first and only use of the phrase 'mad props'. Should I use it again, you have my permission to bludgeon me upside the head with the blunt object of your choosing)
