I am an all purpose creative type. My main activity is drawing/painting, and also hobby-ist game development. I also dabble in music and film making and like to write long editorials/essays. Oh yeah, and I'm a life long gamer going all the way back to the NES - represent!
Exciting news people! If you scroll way back through my blogs, you will find the very first one links to a song I wrote called "Real Hardcore OGs (Orignal Gamers)". Now, after much delay, and back and forth and so on, I have finally finished several other songs and set up a bandcamp page for the stuff. Please check it out - on bandcamp you can listen to the whole song for free. I also made the songs and the album "name your price" meaning you can download it for free or throw me a buck or two if you'd like (it would be appreciated!). In addition to the lyrics I did all the production myself as well. It was quite a project and I've got several more songs in the works, so if you like what you find here, stay tuned.
Late into the NES life cycle Konami released a shmup. It wasn't Gradius or anything related to it. It was Crisis Force. And actually I mislead you, because it wasn't an NES game - it was Famicom game. Crisis Force never left Japan and let me tell you - American gamers of the era missed out. See why in my new video - as always, comments and feedback welcome!
The other day legendary game designer Cliff Bleszinski defended Microsoft. Apparently the AAA game development model doesn't work, therefore we should change the entire structure of the market and trample on consumer's rights. Naturally, I had something to say about this. Enjoy!
So another E3 has come and gone. In the glut of news and game announcements we learned a few things. We learned Microsoft has screwed itself and we learned Sony's got our back. But what about Nintendo? Definitely the most debatable issue of E3 to me is whether or not Nintendo's strategy to ditch a conference worked, whether the games they showed were adequate and whether the company's future looks rosy and bright or as bleak as the view from Mt. Doom. So here I am talking about all of that. Enjoy!
Hey Paisanos, Mikki Saturn here. Well, I finally finished and uploaded my American Mario 2 video. You know how I was promising this video Monday night? Yeah... sorry about that (you can't tell but I wrote that in the voice of the Resident Evil 2 gun shop owner). I had the video all recorded but I got busy and couldn't get it finished on time. Well, maybe it's for the best because as it happens a very important element of this game made it into the new 3D Mario title, Mario 3D World. See for yourself below! Also, please comment, like, share, subscribe, etc! Whatever you feel like! Most of all, enjoy!
