[Anime Post]My love of Gurren Lagann knows no bounds!
Meta-Ridley | 10:29 AM on 12.24.2007 8 comments

If you don't know what Gurren Lagann go here http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gurren_Lagann or look at these pretty pictures.

Now I bet your saying "But Meta-Ridley this just looks like a generic robot anime." This anime is anything but generic it throws away logic and kicks reason to the curb! It is very fast paced, has amazing fight scenes, epic quotes and true GAR characters. The biggest robot in the show is the size of a GALAXY gundum has nothing on this. One of the things you don't see a lot in mecha animes is good music well Gurren Lagann has great music from Symphonic to Metal or even rap. Also as one final note before I go all quote crazy is that the drills are freaking HUGE!

FUCK YEAH GURREN LAGANN
BELIEVE IN ME WHO BELIEVES IN YOU
MY DRILL IS THE DRILL THAT WILL PIERCE THE HEAVENS
WHO THE HELL DO YOU THINK WE ARE

DO THE IMPOSSIBLE! SEE THE INVISIBLE!
ROW ROW FIGHT THE POWAH

So yeah please comment and tell me what you think about this anime or just quote the hell of it.

P.S If anyone here was actually inspired by my ramblings and want to watch Gurren Lagann email me at ridleyfanx@gmail.com or IM me at MetaRidleyX11 and I'll glady give you the episodes because I doubt you can post torrents here.

The life and times of Meta-Ridley!
Meta-Ridley | 8:24 AM on 12.22.2007 3 comments

Hi all! If your wondering where I have been (which you haven't) I've been playing Prince of Persia: Warrior Within which is not as good as the first one by any means. I mean yes it has it's good points and it's still an all around good game but the changes in the prince's personality and a lot of the other stuff feels unnecessary. Though I love the Dahaka chases!

I also recently got from my aunt as a Christmas gift God of War II which is just an never-ending explosion of epic and awesome. Currently I just got to the island of creation where I have to do that annoying puzzle with the dead guy.

I also finally got in the mail Mega64 Version 1 and 2 and I have watched most of volume 1 which my favorite episode was by far episode 4 with the long title purely for the robot marriage thing.

Finally, I won the castlevania contest. YAY!

Terry Pratchett has Alzheimers
Meta-Ridley | 2:46 PM on 12.12.2007 11 comments

http://www.paulkidby.com/news/index.html

Folks,

I would have liked to keep this one quiet for a little while, but because of upcoming conventions and of course the need to keep my publishers informed, it seems to me unfair to withhold the news. I have been diagnosed with a very rare form of early onset Alzheimer's, which lay behind this year's phantom "stroke".

We are taking it fairly philosophically down here and possibly with a mild optimism. For now work is continuing on the completion of Nation and the basic notes are already being laid down for Unseen Academicals. All other things being equal, I expect to meet most current and, as far as possible, future commitments but will discuss things with the various organisers. Frankly, I would prefer it if people kept things cheerful, because I think there's time for at least a few more books yet :o)

Terry Pratchett

PS I would just like to draw attention to everyone reading the above that this should be interpreted as 'I am not dead'. I will, of course, be dead at some future point, as will everybody else. For me, this maybe further off than you think - it's too soon to tell. I know it's a very human thing to say "Is there anything I can do", but in this case I would only entertain offers from very high-end experts in brain chemistry.

This...just really ruined my day. ;_;

Munchkin card game decision!
Meta-Ridley | 5:17 PM on 12.11.2007 8 comments

Hi all. Since going to Ubercon I've become much more interested in card games and board games and DnD stuff in general. Recently I've decided I would get one of the munckins for Christmas but I honestly have no idea which one to get.

This is munckin for all the people that don't know what it is.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Munchkin_%28card_game%29#Expansions_and_spinoffs

This is a list all the Munckin games and the expansions but since I know some people don't feel like reading all that much I'll just re-post what each are called and their setting.

1. Normal Munchkin which takes place in a typical DnD setting
2. Star Munckin takes place in a star wars /star trek place
3. Munckin Fu is all about Asian Martian Arts movies
4. Muncking Bytes is horror fiction setting
5. Super Munckin is Super Hero comics
6. Munckin Cthulhu is obvious

and that's it

Currently the score is from asking friends on AIM:

Normal: 3
Cthluhu: 1
Star:1

That's it! Now please choose one. I BEG YOU!

about me

Hi, I'm Anthony. I enjoy anything that is remotely nerdy. Comics, anime, videogames obviously and collecting action figures (mainly Marvel Legends.) I enjoy all types of games from RPG to Action. I guess the best way to show you my tastes is to give you a top 10 list.

1. Disgaea:Hour of Darkness
2. Okami
3. God Hand
4. Guilty Gear XX: Accent Core
5. Kingdom Hearts 2
6. Legend of Zelda: Majora's Mask,
7. Final Fantasy VI
8. Chrono Trigger
9. Metal Gear Solid
10.Guitar Hero II

I own no next-gen systems. Currently I own a Dreamcast (Pirating FTW), a Gamecube and a Ps2. Hopefully for Christmas I will get a DS.
