Hi, I'm Anthony. I enjoy anything that is remotely nerdy. Comics,anime,videogames obviously and collecting action figures (mainly Marvel Legends.) I enjoy all types of games from RPG to Action. I guess the best way to show you my tastes is to give you a top 10 list.

I own no next-gen systems. Currently I own a Dreamcast (Pirating FTW), a Gamecube and a Ps2. Hopefully for Christmas I will get a DS.

I also visit a lot of message boards usually under the name of MetaRidleyX the board I most frequent is Board 8 (The Contest Board) on GameFAQs.

I'm currently:

playing: God Hand, Prince of Persia: The Sands of time

reading: Pyramids by Terry Pratchett and Memories of Ice by Steven Erikson.

Watching (anime-wise): Lucky Star, Samurai Champloo, Mushishi

Watching (TV-wise): Pushing Daisies, Scrubs, Heroes, Mythbusters and House. (Curse you WGA strike)

[Anime Post]My love of Gurren Lagann knows no bounds!

If you don't know what Gurren Lagann go here http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gurren_Lagann or look at these pretty pictures.

Now I bet your saying "But Meta-Ridley this just looks like a generic robot anime." This anime is anything but generic it throws away logic and kicks reason to the curb! It is very fast paced, has amazing fight scenes, epic quotes and true GAR characters. The biggest robot in the show is the size of a GALAXY gundum has nothing on this. One of the things you don't see a lot in mecha animes is good music well Gurren Lagann has great music from Symphonic to Metal or even rap. Also as one final note before I go all quote crazy is that the drills are freaking HUGE!

Gurren Laggan is my favorite anime of the year, and easily one of my top 5 of all time. The insane epic that it radiates will BLOW YOUR MIND

Tekoa I'm sorry to say that it is nothing like FLCL. I honestly can't compare it to anything because it is so epic.

Gurren Lagann started slowly and my interest waned but when it picked up it blew me away. Easily my favourite anime series this year and as previously said, completely epitomises 'epic'.

But apart from being occasionally artistically similar (Gainax afterall) it's bugger all like FLCL. That by no means makes it any less awesome though.

I've really enjoyed Claymore, Sayonara Zetsubou Sensei and Hayate no Gotoku (guilty pleasure) this year, looking forward to the next series of The Melancholy Of Haruhi Suzumiya, pretty sure that's scheduled next year.
