Destructoid is an open discussion community. You don't need to "audition" to post a comment - just speak your mind. We respect differing opinions on the site, so have at it. Be smart, funny, insightful, clueless, or cute -- but back it up with substance. Keep your cool, keep it fun. We only ask that you act respectfully and above all: don't be a troll and ruin it for everyone else. Don't bring down gamers or we'll, you know, gently shoot you in the face and stuff you into a flaming mailbox. Each comment is your opportuntity to make this community awesomer. Is that even a word?
Avoiding the banhammer only requires common sense: spamming, trolling, racism, NSFW stuff, and other forms of sucking will not be tolerated. If anyone is griefing please report abuse. Be good. Don't suck!
That stuttering bastard was super excited, as well he should be.
That store, regardless of who or what company owned it before, looks very, very nice.
There were rows and rows of video games, candy and gaming merchandise. =)
Damn, if only it wasn't in Texas or wherever the hell it's located.
Video game stores like that could work. Wish there was more of 'em.
Check this out.. This dude who owned a video store near me just closed it down, only to open up an awesome video game store called Phoenix Games.
He sells everything from Atari 2600 systems to Neo Geo games. There is even a working ColecoVision in the store! There are also a ton of old arcade games, including Donkey Kong and Marvel vs Capcom. And he has this crazy, sick set-up with four huge HD sets in a row, including Ultimate Game Chairs, where you can test out new games and play in tournys.
The place is serious.
I give this guy a helluva lot of credit. He has a set of balls opening up a place like this, considering a Game Crazy and a GameStop are near by, within a mile..
I try to give him, the little guy, my business, but he doesn't always have the newest games. I went in to buy Punch Out!! for the Wii, this past Tues, but he didn't have it.
So, I went down the street to Game Crazy.
Moral of the story...
Yeah, that's what he told me.
Trust me, he'll be getting my business, just not on every new game.
I mean, every damn time I go in there I see a SNES I want and buy it.
My friend just bought Majora's Mask from there.
Nothing beats playing an older game on the actual system. Nothing.
Craig seems to have endless drive and enthusiasm. I do hope this works out for him. :)
