3. Some book from my uncle. Will get a look in over the summer break.
4. Couple of Magazines, read them all by now.
5. Ipod Touch. Love it, so awesome.
6. 3000 Xbox Live Points, wewt.
7. And Cash Money, so that I can waste it on shit, like candy :D
So, hope everyone has a great day today, have fun, enjoy the company of friends and family, and don't not eat too much, it's just not christmas otherwise.
It's up on the Xbox Live Marketplace, not so sure about the PSN at the moment.
First impressions:
It's fucking brilliant.
Graphically, the city you're racing in is really really great looking, and the cars look nice to boot. The game is running at 60FPS, so it's so smooth you could uh... (insert smooth metaphor here). The sound is also really good, with the cars sounding as they should and with a DJ guiding you as to what to do. I played a little bit of online, it seemed solid, there was no apparent lag for me. I didn't try a race however, I'll report back when I do.
The one thing that blew me away however, was the amazing sense of speed. This comes through the framerate, and the motion blur that occurs. It's mind boggling as to how fast you are going. Definitely download this and give it a try.
Crashes look pretty damn good, but the crash cam can get annoying... and it's unskippable. One major flaw I found was the inability to restart races. This means you have to spend a minute or two driving back to the start of the race. This is pretty unacceptable.
IGN has put their review up for Alvin and the Chipmunks, and have given it the abysmal score of 1.7/10. How this is possible, with amazing music like this:
I was just reading 1up's coverage of Street Fighter IV, and noticed this in their sidebar:
15th June 08? That seems like a very specific date, think there's something they're not telling us? The only thing that I could think of as a reason for using this date, is that there's 30 days in a month, so half that is 15, and there's 12 months in a year, half that is 6. But, halfway through the year is around the 30th June/1st July. Interesting huh?
Just thought I'd throw this out there, there are a ton (7 or so) FREE new themes and gamerpics for the Xbox 360 available now. They're from the Xbox Originals games, so expect Crimson Skies, Psychonauts, and Halo themes.
Well, I just got done playing Halo 3 with a bunch of Dtoid guys, and it was really really great. Apart from the odd shitty game type, it was really fun. To any of you lurkers thinking about playing, do it. It's great.
Oh, apart from a little unsporting conduct from a certain editor :D
Haha, few milliseconds earlier and I would've had you CTZ.
