My blog posts suck, I repeat post (a minimum of 5 times, even on my own blog), and then I hide all the entries because all I did was embarrass myself. I'm in the Air Force and stationed at Hickam AFB, HI. Its not as nice as you'd think, especially because it hampers my online gaming experience! Damn high pings...

Butmac put up a post recently with some vids. One of those vids was of an animation where Ryu and Scorpion fight. I've actually seen this before, and its not the only vid that the author did. That's only one of 3 animations in the series, so heres links to all of them in their flashy goodness.

The author takes some definite liberties with the characters' stories and their respective move sets (especially in the final one...) but the animation is overall REALLY good and they're a blast to watch. Enjoy

I finished MP3 about a week ago. I got 100% on my first playthrough, and didn't get "stuck" once, which says to me that this one was just a LITTLE too "user friendly" for my tastes. Overall though, it was an awesome experience and I would recommend it to anyone.

There is something I realized at the end that kind of made me go "WTF?" Why the hell did I collect all those ship missile expansions? You use the ship missiles a grand total of, what, 3 or 4 times? Every time you use one, some random enemy drops a refill for you, and you never use more than 1 in a row... I mean, you could argue that the missile expansions were a little overkill as well, but at least you have the ABILITY to use those missiles, if you so desire. The ship missiles, however, had no use, other than the handful of times it was used to open a new path. Maybe I missed something? I thought for sure that it was going to be used in a boss fight or something. Enlighten me, pls...

The "Metroid Channel" on my Wii says there should be new videos today... Where the heck are they?! They suck for making us wait for these videos rather than posting as soon as "8.20.2007" rolls around, as in hours ago!

Also, anyone else notice that the "pointer" functionality on the Metroid channel is a heck of a lot smoother than anywhere else I've used it? The Wii's default "finger" pointer is a fucking joke in comparison.

First off, I know somebody wants to say "But what about Quake 4?" That wasn't a fucking sequel to Quake 3, that was a sequel to Quake 2. Done.

GameRiot posted an interview of Marty Stratto (Id Software's Executive Producer) talking about QuakeZero and another Quake game. Eh, I read the announcement somewhere else, Quake 4 mulitplayer was a flop, I was less than intrigued. I read the interview anyway because it had QuakeZero info, and HOLY SHIT! (*queue orgasm*) The next game in the Quake series is going to be made in the same style as Quake 3. Competition based, built from the beginning to be a multiplayer game. (*queue second orgasm*) I stopped playing Quake 3 a matter of weeks ago, only because I can't get it to run on my computer (I'd rather not be asked about this). There is nothing that compares to Quake 3. There is still an active community out there that is still taking the engine to new places. Check out They have an awesome section of Quake 3 videos, focusing on frag highlights, trick jumping, and defragging. After watching a few you'll realize that they just don't make players like the ones that play Quake 3. If Id can recreate the magic with this new game.... I can't even imagine a situation that would give me a semblance of the happiness I'll feel. Here's a link if you're interested in reading the whole thing. Cheers
