Destructoid is an open discussion community. You don't need to "audition" to post a comment - just speak your mind. We respect differing opinions on the site, so have at it. Be smart, funny, insightful, clueless, or cute -- but back it up with substance. Keep your cool, keep it fun. We only ask that you act respectfully and above all: don't be a troll and ruin it for everyone else. Don't bring down gamers or we'll, you know, gently shoot you in the face and stuff you into a flaming mailbox. Each comment is your opportuntity to make this community awesomer. Is that even a word?
Avoiding the banhammer only requires common sense: spamming, trolling, racism, NSFW stuff, and other forms of sucking will not be tolerated. If anyone is griefing please report abuse. Be good. Don't suck!
That's it.
yet some of the first 360 games are STILL 30 -_-
Hell now you've put the idea in my head, Garison, I might go back and replay Wind Waker to tide me over til payday. Such a beautiful game but I've only ever given it one playthrough...
Rock Band 2/Fable 2 on 360
and
Trauma Centre/No More Heroes on Wii.
Sagats "UPPERCUT!" really is a bitch...
Eat Lead: The Return of Matt Hazard (PS3)
There's Luminous Ark in my DS. Damn God Modding Witches...
...yet I ended up playing WWE Smackdown vs. Raw 2009. I am a stupid sucker for wrestling games. Though, I'll admit that the biggest drawn is the ability to make my own wrestler. And now, I can spend time making the perfect entrance for him!
...shoot me now.
Seriously though, I like to occasionally throw in a mindless, quick game after playing something serious. Especially after that serious game is Dead Space.
Maybe I'll rent that new C&C. Or finally buy Order of Ecclesia.
The storyline's pretty involving (even if the voiceacting's a little cheesy) so it does keep you driving forward through the story.
Also, you get a completely unscripted moment every couple of missions that makes you feel like a total Sky Pimp when you pull it off - if you can pick it up cheap it's worth it for that feeling alone!
I got Hawx at full price, wasn't worth it but now I think you can get it for $40 everywhere brand new. Most of the time the gameplay is extremely boring but there are some good moments.
I might continue playing Gears of War 2, and maybe pop in Dead Rising again.
My PC has been busy as I play through Assassin's Creed again, looking for all the additions or improvements the computer version has over the console (really, hardly any), and the occasional Team Fortress 2/Tribes 2 matches tide me over. Hopefully my DVD copy of Left 4 Dead arrives through mail soon, as I'm eagerly waiting to play that too!
Oh, and Super Stardust HD. It's so awesome to catch up on psn titles.
