Yeah i got robbed today on the bus by some random guy... I was just sitting there playing cave story on psp and some guy comes out of nowhere and takes it just as i get past the part with the rushing water. That of course is total bs and of course I'm pissed about it. Can't do anything about it though all the people sitting beside me pretended that nothing happened, and I cant risk reporting to anyone since they guy looked like some gangster guy.
Anyway... GTA 4 is a decent game. It is sure as hell fun, but not as good as i expected it to be. Its not because they reduced to map to 3 small islands, and its not because they took out many of the character customization options that were present in San Andreas. On the other hand, the improved cover + shooting system helped make this game feel less arcadey and more realisitc, and the graphics overhaul really does help me become more immersed in the city of Liberty City.
The Good
- New Cover system
- The autoaim feels a lot better (crackdown style)
- Funny Characters
- A sense of being within the game...
The Bad
- New driving physics make the game feel like forza or some other driving simulator (its hard at first, but you get used to it)
- Movement feels VERY awkward at first (older gta's allowed you to instantly turn around while running while gta 4 has it feeling like a hockey game)
- The overall pace of the game seems really slow...
The multiplayer is simple but fun enough... don't expect it to develop some sort of competitive following.
Nothing else to say... but I guess the devs wanted to make this game more realistic than the games from GTA3. Not that good of an idea to me since I mainly play games to escape form reality and become relaxed.
There you go... some GTA 4 impressions... sorry my first post had to be about some guy robbing me.... i'm just really pissed off and want to know what other people would do about it. And sorry for the wall of text too... i dont know how to use bbcode or w/e its called. I've mostly been lurking around Destructoid, but never really felt the need to make an account and a cblog.

to add: OR he noticed you didn't put up a fight, realizes he's being incredibly materialistic, and changes his ways before ruining more people's experience of Cave Story/killing innocent civilians. Less probable though, sadly.
Didn't get a good look at his face so cant get a sketch anyway... Lesson learned though...

Sucks about your PSP dude. I mean, really sucks. I absolutely loath douche-bags like the guy who stole it right out of your hands. The dude needs to be dropped down several fucking pegs if he thinks he's hot enough shit to be able to pull that crap off.
And if they DO fuck with you, shoot them in the face. Have you learned nothing from GTA?!

maybe you should run with this and make a new PSP and DS thingie you could sell on amazon for 20 bucks... a contraption that makes it virtually impossible for anyone to jack the thing off of your hands... go with it. you might make millions.

Tip for everyone: re-purpose those old recalled wii wrist straps for your psp/ds. If they can't steal it within a second, then they "might" give up.
