Warioware is art.
Loki Power | 3:34 PM on 02.13.2008 6 comments

When you ask most people what games would qualify as "Games as Art." You would hear the
same basic answers. Bioshock, Shadow of the Colossus, Ico, the Suda 51 games. But one you
will never hear is the Warioware series. I think that is a shame really. Warioware is what art
is, fun to look at. The colors are bright, the sound design is amazing, and the style of the
graphics change every microgame. remember when people first saw Pop-art? their reaction
was What the F@%K is this? I uttered the same sentence when i saw Warioware. Warioware is
the Pop-art of video games.

Art is in the eye of the beholder, so disagree if you must, but I think the Warioware series is
fun to play, and to look at.

NOOO!
Loki Power | 12:23 AM on 02.03.2008 19 comments

I recently beat No More Heroes on sweet mode, I loved the game, so i decided to start a new
game on a higher difficulty with my old file intact, i would just save it to a different space, i got
pretty far, when decided to tie up a few loose ends in my first game. Then it was time to
save, and with a flick of my wrist, OH GOD I SAVED OVER MY OTHER GAME. It was all gone! I
almost cried!

Has something like this happened to anyone else?

Most Romantic Game?
Loki Power | 10:54 AM on 01.27.2008 24 comments

This I admit is a strange post, what do you guys think is the most
romantic game? A game where two people after playing it can look in each others eyes and
embrace each other?

My vote is on Mario Kart, the competitive spirit and light-hearted tone can really pull at the
heart-strings.

What do you guys think? What's the most Romantic Game?

My idea for a game!
Loki Power | 9:28 PM on 01.20.2008 7 comments

I've gt an idea for a game on the wii, here it goes. You are is a supended platform in a
completly square room. You can look in all directions. You will hold the Wii-mote flat on your
hand and the room will stay still. Wherever the wii-mote tilts, the room will go.

The object will be to tilt a ball onto a hole, but in a full squared environment. There will be
traps and obstacles to avoid.

What do you guys think?

Hidden gems
Loki Power | 2:02 PM on 01.18.2008 10 comments

For my first entry I’d like to talk a little of a thought that has been clawing away at my brain
like a cat trapped in a small transparent bubble slowly filling with water. That thought is about
the relationship between The Video game industry and creativity. Right now I think the Video
Game industry is the best for creativity. You can see the possibilities right on the horizon. the
cause of that is from an unexpected place Nintendo. Now I have nothing against Nintendo, in
fact I love Nintendo. They are the only people these days who seem to be able to market a
game that isnt a bloody gore Shoot-fest of a disc. We all love Nintendo but they are not the
most creative of people. I find this strange because evan though the head man Miyamoto is
the most open
about his inner child, than I’ve ever seen in the industry before, and the original games he
creates himself are the most charming, and fun games I’ve ever seen (See Pikmen). But the
rest that sell well are, Mario, Zelda, Metroid. Three franchises that have been beaten until
every once of fun, and creativity oozed out of their mangled corpse. That is supposedly going
to change with the advancement of WiiWare. If you don’t know what Wiiware is its games you
buy on the virtual console that is little beyond retro games. The thing is the rules for making
these games are much more loose than a mainstream, real game. This will allow much more
creative developers into he mix! (Hopefully)
