I recently beat No More Heroes on sweet mode, I loved the game, so i decided to start a new
game on a higher difficulty with my old file intact, i would just save it to a different space, i got
pretty far, when decided to tie up a few loose ends in my first game. Then it was time to
save, and with a flick of my wrist, OH GOD I SAVED OVER MY OTHER GAME. It was all gone! I
almost cried!

Has something like this happened to anyone else?

Yeah.
Once when I was playing Oblivion, I wanted to see what it would be like to play with a different race.
Then I accidentaly saved over my Lvl 15 God-Like Argonian.

Something like that happened to me, I overwrote (while copying files from one memory card to another) a saved game on the second year of the PS1 Harvest Moon (Back to nature?). Yeah... I never played it again.

Yes. I remember one horrible time in my childhood, I beat the Rugrats video game. I saved over it. My brother was pissed because he wanted to play as Reptar too.
