So, I've been thinking about the PSP Go and The PSP 3000, and how everyone's talking about it, and I've decided that I'm gonna chip in with my two cents, and I've come up with a list of pros and cons.
By the way, I am not posting anything as a pro or con that both of the models have, so don't post any angry comments saying "hey, where's the" whatever. 'Kay? I may be paranoid, but I posted something like this on a different gaming website, and... uch. I don't want to talk about it. Some people are so f*ucking temperamental, you wouldn't believe it... OKay, yeah, I''m done my mini-rant on how much the world sucks, here's the blog.

PSP 3000
Pros:
$169.99 which is about $90 less than the PSP 3000 (Holy shit!)
UMD drive (Why pay $90 more for a thing that can't even play your old games?)
Bigger screen
Can get every game on the PSN store that the PSP Go can

Cons:
No internal memory drive (you have to buy a memory card if you want to download a game from the PSN store or something)
You still have to carry around those big UMDs (Cue the angry consumers saying "I want to free downloads from the PSN store on all my old games")
Kinda big compared to the PSP Go

PSP Go
Pros:
No more big, clunky UMDs (which is sort of half a con too because now you have to pay for all your UMDs again)
16 GB of Internal Memory (which means that you don't have to run down to your local electronics store to buy a memory card)
All digital downloads (get all your games from the comfort of your living room)
Smaller (takes up less room)

Cons:
Small screen
You have wait up to two hours to download your new game
$249.99
No UMD drive (you have to buy all your old UMDs again)

Overall, who wins?
In my opinion, I would rather stick with my trusty, ever faithful PSP 3000, but everyone else out there probably has there own opinion. (Most probably pretty similar to mine, from what I've been hearing)

The Go is a complete waste of time, on the same level as the Virtual Boy, in my opinion. Go with a 3000.

Destructoid is an open discussion community. You don't need to "audition" to post a comment - just speak your mind. We respect differing opinions on the site, so have at it. Be smart, funny, insightful, clueless, or cute -- but back it up with substance. Keep your cool, keep it fun. We only ask that you act respectfully and above all: don't be a troll and ruin it for everyone else. Don't bring down gamers or we'll, you know, gently shoot you in the face and stuff you into a flaming mailbox. Each comment is your opportuntity to make this community awesomer. Is that even a word?

Avoiding the banhammer only requires common sense: spamming, trolling, racism, NSFW stuff, and other forms of sucking will not be tolerated. If anyone is griefing please report abuse. Be good. Don't suck!

 about me

I am - watchamacallit - Someone who isn't a hardcore gamer but isn't a casual one either?
Ah, well.
Anyways, I own a DS Lite, PS3 and a PSP.
My favorite games are Hotel Dusk: Room 215, The whole God of War series, Fallout 3, GTA IV, Pursuit Force, Shadow of the Colossus, LittleBigPlanet, Metal Gear Solid 4 and Street Fighter IV.
I like every game genre except for racing, with a couple of exceptions. (FORZA!!!!!!)
