I had friends who would call me a pussy for not drinking beer while i was drinking straight whiskey with nothing to chase. JD straight from the bottle is the only way to live.
A quick question to any of the drinkers out there, is Gentleman Jack any good? I was thinking of getting some the other night, but decided to just get the regular stuff instead, is it worth the extra price or not?

Only if you have developed your palette to distinguish between the flavors. It is far softer, however and therefore might be more desirable.. It's good no doubt...but I always find my way back to the O.G.

Single Barrel is a whole different beast and basically unrelated to what makes Gentleman Jack good. But I agree...the shit is raw. As far as its taste compared to No. 7: definitely more...aggressive?
This topic is right up my alley. I have 4 friends that are bartenders and I sometimes will bartend private parties with them. I know more about alcohol than any sane person should.
Midleton is the only whiskey I drink. If I get a mixed drink, I'll take Jameson, but never Jack.
@Excremento: I like fruity drinks such as Tokyo Tea and AMF's. Some people call them "girlie" drinks, but they are strong and will fuck you up.
Oh I love Jameson a ton. I will second that recommendation and fight any naysayers.
I think my infatuation with JD is as much sentimental as it is preference...seeing as I grew up on the stuff. Take that last statement as you will.
Jameson is pretty good i don't drink american whiskey just the irish stuff, if you like Jameson, try Bushmills and Tullamore Dew is absolutley the best.

Whiskey is on the list of things I don't drink anymore, along with Drambuie, Southern Comfort, Malibu, Ouzo and Gin.
I drink vodka like a fish (who likes vodka) but if I'm out on the scene I'll do cocktails (Mai Tai, LIIT, Caucasian) or wine cos I'm just that cosmo.
Beer is for cunts.
My main drink is Mezcal with Coke =/, cheap alcohol is cheap. Although i do drink a lot of other stuff, liquor, no beer.
