Roster Update 2008...I mean, Madden 2008...dropped today.

Why are people still getting excited about this game? I am a die hard Football fan. DIE HARD FOOTBALL FAN. Yet, I have less than zero excitement about Madden. The game has played the same for nearly a decade now, with minimal improvements to the gameplay. Graphical upgrades are the most noteworthy feature, and I'm not paying for graphics. I'm paying for a good game. That's why Suikoden II is my favorite game of all time.

I don't get it. How can people be so gullible? Madden is hyped every single year, yet in the end the only thing we're getting is a new roster, some new HOT EA TRAX WITH AN X, the same minigames, the same franchise, the same broken plays, the same awkward running game, the same canned animations, and the same EA ass rape.

Football fans need to rebel against this bullshit, and they need to rebel soon.

Not that I like/own a Madden game but they did more than update a roster. supposedly some new season mode. New game play elements and the Wii version has new stuff added to it.

same feelings here....i haven't bought a new madden in two years. I rented the new ones but immediately put them down. It kills my buddy that works at EA too, he just doesn't understand why i'm so burnt out on the series

Why not play it on the Wii? I don't own any Madden but I hear the Wii version hooks you up with some fun mini-games and the motion control actually work really well especially for passing and stiff arming. At least it's something different.

If this game were called "Men who dress in padded spandex who grab each others asses and stare at each others crotches, while living off-field lives full of dog-fighting and doing blow off a transexual's penis: 2008" it would not sell as well...

i'm with you guys, madden has never been alive to me. i dont' need a yearly sports game to feel complete. although i liked fight night. [not that i would buy it religiously, i just happened to be pretty good at it]

I could hounestly care less about madden, football, or the sports gameing industry entirly.

The first THPS was fun, the secound was alright, but to me, the franchise was dead by the thrid.

I am really considering picking up this game. "BigPopa, you already have NCAA 08, why do you want Madden?" Simple, there isn't any other good NFL game out there(Curse you EA for your stupid licensing buyout). I want an NFL game that my friends and I can play when they come over.

I personally wish the 2K games were still being made. I loved 2K5 more than any other football game.
