Last night the Super Smash Bros. Brawl community was at a buzz about the first signs of brawl in the wild. This 2chan post is where it all began.
While last night it only consisted of two pictures.
the inital roster at the single player classic screen
and the CD
today at around 1:00 PM this video was posted
It shows a moving character select screen and the first second of the event start up.
Sadly all the information so far reveals NOTHING new and only serves to stroke the brawl possessors ego. Say what you will about image quality and length of video. Any and every form of photo/video technique can be faked. That is not being questioned. whether the video is real or not is also not even important. If the person who has this game doesn't present anything new its as usefull as if he took a grainy needlessly short video of himself breaking the disk between his butt cheeks!
This news is very exciting for those individuals who can't seem to wait the remaining week to see the japanese game. (myself included) ,But this needless restraint in information release only hurts his credibility with every passing moment. Stop playing the game and show us more!
ps. someone tell those Japanese how to shoot a clear picture with their rocket fueled cell phones PLEASE.
pps. evidently this mock up of the final roster was released 12 hours prier to the 2chan pictures. The inclusion of R.O.B and wolf imediatly pee in my cornflakes. but the seamless placement of all the characters is a one in a million chance. It fits perfectly with the 2chan character placement and gives this otherwise laughable attempt a surprising bit of credit. I weep if this is the final roster.
It would be cool if Young Link was retooled as WW Link, but I still haven't heard anything about it, so I'm not getting my hopes up. Also, there had better be more characters than that.
yoh NihonTiger90 I just searched and I didn't see anything on this in the Cblogs...its not old news if it hasn't even been posted. maybe if YOU saw it from the same source, but im posting this so that the people that are just cblog brawl interested can see it too.
I have a feeling the lineup from 2chan is fake. Juuuust a guess ,of course.
But the pics and video seem to be legit. From what I understand, the person that posted these is a rather well-known Peach player, and I don't think they'd want to tarnish their own reputation.
I got the same feeling from this as I did "Japanese newspaper" leak. If you were trying to justify themselves as a leak do something that doesn't make it look like you're going out of the way to avoid being shown as a definitive leak. The paper only showed a narrow view particular article (poorly done enough that it looked like someone printed it off of their computer) and the video only lasted a couple of seconds consisting of things we already know, with an assumption of revealed characters as the starting roster. No gameplay? Why bother posting the video then?
The character screen could have been easily fabricated from existing pictures.
Pitt's voice could have been cut from his character introduction commercial where he says the same line. The introducer's voice we've had in the previous two games is absent from there.
The voice in Link's introduction is the same as it was in melee and his screen was taken from here with a bit of editing and wipe features to move the graphics on screen.
We don't know if it was from a TV or not, especially given its poor quality. Even if it wasn't "ビデオ 1" could have been edited into it, plus who plays with that on screen. (The screenshot is also from the video if you notice this as well.)
Call me a skeptic but with such poor quality and brevity of the clip, it ranks fairly high on its likelihood to have been faked. When someone shows us something that we haven't seen, I'll start buying into it. Until then, I'm completely tired about people making assumptions from "leaks" and "prophets." In 8 days we'll know everything. People need to chill.
@zeke yeah thats kinda why I said the things i said... never said it was real. never said it mattered. just posting whats been found. and the general consensuses is yes if your trying to fake it everything shown can be recreated and outputted to tv (this is painfully easy i don't know why people think outputting to a TV is some magic god power). But WHY go to that much trouble to fake it for the luls... some people have just too much time on their hands.

Okay, maybe not, but I'd sure be embaressed nonetheless. >.>
The video and screenshot look like the real thing though. I just can't imagine how anyone could doctor a video clip to appear like that.

This look like the REAL roster and not a fake.
