Civ3 is one of those games that I've always meant to acquire, but never cared enough to actually do so when the opportunities arose.
Maybe some day.
just jump to Civ IV xD no point in bothering with 3 at this point :)
But on a serious note...
I couldn't get into the Civ games. They are so ridiculously in depth and micromanagement is not my thing. I do hear the games are damn good though.

I have been meaning to play Civ IV for some time. I only have Civ II, so I guess I am missing out on a ton of great gaming, aren't I?
I'm gonna agree with TheMartino, Civ has always been over my head. I heard that you go from like.. caveman times into the near future which is insane.. but once again that's all I've really hard about it.
i've wanted to try out Civ one of these days. Luckily I'll get a chance if the console verion coming for PS3/360 turns out to be awesome =D
Civ 4 was so awesome.
I think one of the best improvements it brought to the series was that siege weapons could do collateral damage to units in the same stack. Removing (or at least deterring) the singe stack of doom tactic that had been so prevalent in the previous entries.
I'm convinced Gandhi hated me though.
Now I need to reinstall the game.

LOL @ the Gandhi line... that's what makes games like the Civ series so great. I made Lincoln into a Communist dictator not unlike Stalin. XD

I love this game. I know a lot of people think it's overly complicated, but I think it caters to your play style. Check this game out.
The Civ games are damn good, but just like the other sim games, you need a lot of time to invest in it.
Look out for the Wii version next year.

I fucking love civilization, but it keeps crashing my PC whenever i start to get far into the game. Partially b/c i refuse to put it on the lower setting, but i shouldn't have to since i exceed all of the "recommended" hardware.
