Greetings my friends, how you all been? Well I hope, you're all wonderful people and I'm glad I get to spend time with all of you.

Eh close enough.

So I've been playing vydia, dealing with some stuff and generally just going through the motion, let's get into it shall we?

Find astoundingly rare stuff for pennies is what I like to call life's little blessings, and I must have used my stock for the year when I walk into gamestop and spot this little beauty for 10 bucks, everything is in pristine shape, quite frankly the disc doesn't even looked use, hell the manual still crinkles!

Still the best Metroid Prime as far as I'm concerned, Metroid games have always been isolation, you against the hordes, everything you meet in Metroid games is there to kill you and Echoes really drop that point home, even the air itself in the dark world wanted to murder you. If we do get another Metroid Prime, just give to Retro Nintendo, let em do their magic.

A shame the cables on my Cube have finally said NO MORE, they can join my memory card, all those files, goddammit. ;-;

Ordered some news ones, waiting on em now.

Sales are cool, I like sales, Gamestop has these boxes on the counter lately offering cheap shit, lot of crap in there, tons of sport games but a few nuggets in that sea of shit, stuff like Viewtiful Joe, Drakan The Ancient Gates, Megaman X Command MIssion, Burnout 3, Fatal Frame 3, Legaia 2, Wild Arms 3, Nightshade, Dragon Quest 8, Front Mission 4, Blood Will Tell, Primal, Mark of Kri, most of the Onimusha games, all for pennies practically, they also seem to have PS3 stuff now, picked up Alpha Protocol, Strangehold and Rainbow Six 1 and 2 for a mere 20 dollars, not to shabby.

This game is weird to me, its cute, I love the art, I love the music and the pokemon ish familiar system compels to get them all but I cannot bring up the desire to play it, I actually bought the digital one release along with the guide but I just can't muster the desire to pick it up, perhaps it has to due with the sadness that sidetracked me either way, I just want to play it and enjoy it but my head just won't let me, a shame.

FIESTA TIME!

One of the most enjoyable coop shooters I have ever the pleasure of enjoying, its downright abrasive to the player as it doesn't explain shit but my god is it fun, the battle just keep getting crazier and crazier and more epic, sucks where they are taking the franchise but we'll always have this.

If anyone here still has this, please tell me in the comments section, I will host an FNF for it, we will do the can can on cannons.

On to the massive effects.

I acquired this fine specimen a few days ago, currently the rarest class in the game, quite an odd choice and is currently driving the lore fans completely insane, never mind that we have pink colored krogans and geth running around, its a collector that makes their heads explode scanners style.

So on to his abilities, the collector has 3, one old, 2 unique, the old is dark channel, a powerful DoT and easily my favorite biotic power, it just rips through banshees and phantoms like they where nothing, one of the main things you should do on gold is kite the big things and waste the spawn tickets on minor shit, with dark channel you can slap a slowdown effect on them making things much easier plus one its time to deal with them they'll be near death.

Seeker swarm is a new one, similar to the mosquitoes to the collectors use against you, they work similar to Biotic Orbs that also means they have gigantic cooldown, even with every cooldown evo you're looking at 17 seconds of twiddling your thumbs while it finishes, its also his sole method of detonating biotics. Beyond that it deals damage and further slows enemies down, I can't say I'm the biggest fan of it to be honest, the cooldown is just to brutal and unlike the biotic orbs you're gonna wanna use these extensively.

Dark Sphere is his last power, with it he fires a green slow moving balls that does damage to whatever it passes through and can be detonated at any time, it his horrifically powerful dealing around 3,000+ at max damage bonus, you can melt entire spawns with this thing, it also has a hefty cooldown but not nearly as much as the swarm, about 7 seconds at most.

The rest of his stuff if your standard fitness and power stuff, power wise he can reach nearly 60% extra damage which is absurd making him the 2nd most powerful biotic in the game, he also gains extra damage with collector and prothean weapons, not to viable I feel since the particle rifle is a UR and is fairly hefty, he can do well with the collector rifle or the sniper but both of those are rares, either way I suggest packing a light gun or smg and slap the power magnifier on them, don't forget the warp ammo as well.

Fitness wise you got 2 choices, the melee tree works into something awakened stance, when you hold melee he sort becomes possessed like the collectors, this gives him more damage and reduced cooldown at the cost taking more damage yourself, at max ascension stance you take a 25% damage taken penalty, I've never been a big fan of this kinda stuff so I went full shields, at max he's got a beefy 1250 and 1000 health making him fairly tanky.

Overall I really liked him, his sphere power is fantastic to soften large groups and dark channel is always useful, seeker are neat but really all up to playstyle, I personally ignore them, same with ascension stance, all player preference. A really awesome char and you can paint him bright pink to boot.

Held off a bit on these reviews cause this guy was shit, thankfully they patched him and now he's a monster, some might say overpowered but hey, this game cheats pretty badly so this is just desserts.

His main gimmick is that his melee is replaced by a bow, both of his melees, hold the melee button and he produces a bow and fires, it auto aims and always goes for the head, on its own its quite powerful, slap a few melee mods on him and you're looking at a nice mook killer and you haven't fired a single shot of your main yet, another cool trick is that with weapon that charge up, such as the kishock or graal, you can shoot both at the same time, not only that but the fired weapon also benefits from the bows auto aim, its downright gamebreaking and makes cerberus or collectors a complete, I was one shooting phantoms and collectors left and and right on gold with this trick from full health to dead.

Power wise he has 3 all new ones.

Concussive arrows provided a stagger on demand and works a lot like throw, at later evolutions it debuffs whatever enemy he hits with them and adds another arrow for a total of 6 arrows fired at once, decent but nothing special.

Armor Piercing is just what it sounds like, specialized arrows primarily used for armor damage, later evos are similar to the concussive ones giving a debuff to enemy armor as increase the arrows fired, this is a fantastic power for the armored tanky enemies like the brute or scions, at max power this do just about half of a scions armor bar which is mighty impressive that units health.

His final power is the Cain Trip Mine and easily his biggest damage dealer, at max power, combined with power bonuses from his passive skills, you're looking at almost 4,000 damage done with one mine, to put it in perspective, a brute has 7,500 on gold, the babies are super powerful and cut through bosses quite easily, one tactic you can use is to spam them, as only 3 mines can be active at a time, a 4th one fired will cause the first one you planted to detonate, you can easily go into an enemy spawn and unload all your mines and decimate everything in sight.

For the most part he's a boss killing unit and destroys random mooks, but this much power must have a downside and sadly it does, nothing gamebreaking, it just makes him a bit dependent on consumables and gear.

For one, all of his power requires grenades, queing several concussive or piercing shots is one nade, trip mines is one nade a piece, granted most of his skills provide a boost to overall nade capacity but you're still gonna be running to the item boxes a bit to restock, that's provided there isn't another nade class in the group, consumable ammo packs is an option but they will run out eventually so nade gear is a must.

Similar to the shadow, his fitness tree sacrifices shields for power making him a glass cannon if you opt to go full Omni Bow damage so cyclonic modulators are a must unless you wish to spend the match taking a nap, he does one thing in his passives which regenarates his nades for him, but this isn't a fast process, even at 200% cooldown its about 30 seconds, thing is none of the Talon's powers have a cooldown, so you it becomes the players choice, do I weigh him down and forget the nade regen or do I carry a small gun around? The omni bow cannot be fired in cover so the talon needs to be in the line of fire do any damage with it, quite dangerous given how much damage most enemies on higher diffs plus the uncanny accuracy of marauders.

I also said nade gear is a must but again, player choice, as the omni bow counts as a melee weapon you can decide to up his melee damage with gear or consumables, either way its up to you.

He's one of the best new classes and a tremendous damage dealer, just very dependent on consumables and gear to do his job well.

Formerly a Wii exclusive, NG3 Polished Turd edition was released on the other consoles, let the rest of us see if Tecmo truly did listen

I redboxed, I mean its gotta be worth 2 bucks right?

I find myself not hating it nearly as much as I thought I would, the main thing is that I need to basically unlearn everything I knew about the previous 2 games, I'm pretty set in the way I play and I beat both games on Master Ninja so I was doing something right, this just kinda tosses that out, enemy groups are way larger now and are a bit of a threat, you have dudes closing in on melee while others shoot you, other times there's all that AND rocket assholes so prioritizing has never been more important, a far cry from the walking meatbags of the other 2 games.

The steel on bone mechanic was completely reworked, now its like a counter that when done right you can combo into huge room clearing kills, its sort of risk/reward thing, do I take out enemies as they come at me, or do I wait for a steel on bone opportunity, its a neat system and I kinda like it, the game also forces you way more of a perfectionist since there's no healing items and your healing bar is reduced the more damage you take, there is a healing system in place but its slow and not an option when you're surrounded by enemies.

Finally, they added lifebars to bosses, not sure why them removed in the first place but whatever, I'm only in chapter 2 so we'll see if its get better or worse but for now, its passable.

Past this point comes the sadness, yes its kitty related, different circumstances though which is why I didn't make a blog solely for him, either way if you wanna stop reading now and merely leave a comment based of what I've said to this point I won't blame you.

This is Kami, and this is the last picture I ever took of him.

I met the little guy 2 years ago at a shelter I sometimes volunteered at, brought in by a samaritan like many cats are, he was given the tests to make sure he was disease free but in his case it came up positive for FeLV, or feline leukemia, the disease is largely categorized as a wasting away of the animal, most of them don't die from the disease itself, they from a complication related to it largely due to their compromised immune systems.

Anyway, like any infected animal he was going to be put down, but I said no, I stepped in and agreed to take him in, he was this cute little thing and something just compelled me to do so, I don't know why, I've dealt with tragedy before on animals, now I'm adopting one that I know is gonna die before his time? Either I just couldn't do anything, so off he went with me.

You know how some people say that a rescue animal knows its been rescued? They tend to be more loving toward their owner and such, I never experienced this till I had Kami, that cat would not leave me alone, at every waking moment of the day he was 4 steps behind me, he loved to rub his whiskers on my toes or fingers, wherever I went, outside or in he was there, if he didn't see me in the mornings he'd meow up a storm till I opened my bedroom door, he liked me a lot and I grew very attached. He also loved chicken.

He had a few ups and down leading to his death, nothing that couldn't be handled but for a time I couldn't shake the feeling that I wasn't being treated right at my vet's office, I felt like they where treating me like a nuisance, eventually I found another vet but I can't help but feel that my treatment and even Kami's there led to an earlier death, but that's all speculation at this point.

Fast forward to about 3 weeks ago, he's having trouble with his mouth again, FeLV positive animals are prone to mouth infections, again gradual wasting away and this was the case here.

To paint a picture, imagine if your gums where on their last layer of skin, they where beet red and ached constantly and your saliva had become so acidic that it burned the corners of your mouth, that's how bad it got, I had been treating with various medications but they just weren't doing anything, he was eating because his body was telling him to do.

So I take him to the vet and the doc shows me the mouth, the meds are indeed not doing a thing, there's a party of me that wanted to keep going, I just didn't wanna let go no matter what it took, but something else told me to stop and once the vet told me the reason the cat looks haggard is because he was in constant pain and couldn't sleep well, I couldn't let that stand, how can I go about my day knowing this, if I could take his pain away I would but alas it just wasn't the case.

So I made the difficult choice once again, I'm happy to say he didn't waste away at least, he still look good with a nice fluffy coat so he looked wonderful when he arrived at rainbow road up there.

Knowing he was going to go before his time didn't really make things any easier, I miss him a lot, I never imagined this little gray furball was gonna set up shop in my heart like he did, he was a constant presence in my life for 2 years and him not being there hurts, I still sometimes sit outside and think he'll round the corner just like he always did but of course that won't ever happen.

I'm happy I got to him the time I did and I don't regret what I did for a moment, if I had to do I'd do it again, he deserved a shot at a happy life and I know I provided it.

And thank you Phil for helping me get through it with your words. I'm not over by any stretch of the imagination but I feel a lot better.

Anyway that's all from me, thanks for reading, goodnight and have a pleasant tomorrow.

New ME3 multi DLC dropped today, free as always, comes with 6 new classes to mess around with. I'll be doing these blogs as I unlock them, for now I have these 2 and did several matches with them.

A giant krogan with a hammer, there is nothing with this, its one of these obvious things that should have been in the game to begin with, how on earth can they fuck this up?

Well its BioWare so fuck it up they did, truly they are masters of their craft.

The warlord is easily the tankiest Krogan since the Vanguard, the hammer comes in 2 flavors, electric or biotic, electric does more damage to shields and barriers, biotic does more damage to armor, his other power is tech armor which is identical to the krogan sent's, he's built to take a ton of damage, this would work well if the enemies didn't do so much damage on gold, if its the collector faction you may as well just leave the match.

His rage mechanic is different, it provides him a boost to health regeneration as well as the standard damage reduction, you can even make it so it takes a single heavy melee strike to get him into rage mode, against grunts he's immortal, against anything else he has to run away like a scared puppy.

Scions, brutes, banshees, praetorians, phantoms, atlases, all the boss units basically, the warlord is 100% useless against all of them, even if you know the tells that cause the boss to go into IMA KILL YOUR ASS MODE, he's still useless, the hammer even with as much melee as you can muster still doesn't do that much damage against these enemies, the main issue is that his hammer has a wind-up time and you can killed out of it, hell even minor pests like husks and abominations can knock you of the animation, it also lacks radius, so even though it looks like you split the planet in half with your hammer, you still only hurt a single enemy.

On top of this mountain of shit, HE CAN BE STAGGERED, a giant krogan the size of a small house can be rocked by a tiny ass marauder.

The Warlord is a silver unit sadly, if you play him on gold or platinum you can expect to be synced killed every single wave.

Its depressing just how bad this kit is, he maybe the worst character since the quarian female engineer.

This is a picture of EDI actually, but it doesn't matter because the infil unit is the exact same model, the only different is that its wearing more clothing.

NOW THIS KIT IS AWESOME, caps for emphasis because its just fucking amazing.

She comes with snap freeze, defense matrix and the standard cloak.

Her cloak is different because all the damage bonuses apply to shotguns, you can dish out a stupid amount of damage with her thanks to this, a claymore at max damage bonuses can damn near one shot a scion which is one of the most heath heavy enemies in the game.

Snap freeze is identical to the paladin and it was amazing even, its probably one of the best powers in the game, does good damage, goes through walls and provides an armor debuff along with a slowdown on enemies, it also freezes at least one enemy as well as staggering the rest

Defense matrix is entirely unique and makes sense given her shotgun bonuses, it provides shield restoration per second as well enhancing her speed and giving her 40% damage reduction, she also auto-revives her if she goes down while its active, it makes her impressively tanky if the situation calls for it.

This combination of powers turns her into an ultra powerful unit, zipping all over the place and murdering everything with impunity in a wave of ice and explosions, slap a reegar, some armor piercing mods and you are a god on the battlefield, easily the best class since the geth trooper.

That's all for now, hopefully next time I can bring you a review of the geth juggernaut and collector.

Yea this blog has no structure, just talking about random shit given the recent news.

And once again thank you all for your out-pour of love in my last 2 blogs, you're all amazing, wonderful people.

So recently Blizzard admitted that the AH hurt the game a lot, well no shit, it was essentially designed as something to keep making Blizzard money, a loot hunting game, a loot hunting game like this is a one time purchase, that of course is not for Blizzard so in came the AH, something designed to keep the game making a tidy profit for them however small.

And it really did ruin the game in a lot of ways, the environment it created was so violently anti coop, gone where the days of sharing gear or just loot hunting for fun, every piece of gear everyone found was potential money, I can't count the number of gear my coop partners got that I could have used as a fair upgrade and they just asked me for untold sums of money, I'm happy to say I never did this, I gave away anything anyone else might use. Though 2 situations really stick out for me in this game, both happened in the same play session.

We're done farming and I step away from the computer to hit the bathroom, get some water, blabla, I come back but I don't say anything, I see the conversation unfolding before me, 2 people chatting away about their profit margins and spreadsheets.

Spreadsheets? What the fuck? They continue chatting and they mention all the categories the spreadsheet is divided in and how they need to enter in all the gear they just found when they sign off D3, another mentions how was he was drunk someday and entered the wrong thing into the glove index and lost 50 million gold as a result. Later in this same game I'm showing the crap I got and get yelled at by someone telling me to show ONLY AH worthy things.

So yea, I can't even show off my shitty loot to laugh about it, nope, every piece is just dollar signs, everything is worthless, as for those 2, they aren't playing a game anymore, that's a job. Then there's that other jackass who was super mad about the game losing people because it was cutting into his profits and his bots, his bots, his bots, guy would not shut the fuck up about his goddamn bots.

It really is astounding to me to design a game that would turn people into that.

Anyway moving on.

The start of making sequels to FF games, which is funny when you realize that FF games are sequels within themselves, a bit polarizing but you know what? Its pretty fucking good, the job system is very deep and robust, probably one of my favorite iterations of it, the game can be as long or short as you want offering an impressive degree of freedom given its an FF game, multiple sidequests, multiple outcomes, multiple outcomes and a pretty battle system to, given the correct set-ups and changes, its impossible to chain tons of attacks in an orgy of death.

And its only 6 freaking dollars, I highly recommend it.

Its a shame Capcom owns these IP's, we will probably never see them again.

I'm on my 8th playthrough of God Hand and the game is just so amazingly solid, I've been breezing through the game on my hard playthrough, I'm even learning new stuff still, its amazing all the crap you can do with the combat system, from the cancels to juggling large enemies against walls with kicks, suddenly demons aren't so scary anymore, I also didn't notice but the game a chargeable axe kick as a shoryuken like uppercut that are unlisted, regardless of your moveset, you always these tricks equipped and can use them at any time.

To many games try to be so damn serious, we need more stuff like God Hand, just light-hearted hilarity and punching people to death.

This game is vicious and its kicking my ass, but I'm loving it, moreso than Dark Souls, maybe its the level structure but I love how each world has its own theme, everything is so varied, 4-2 in the valley of storms is one of the most amazing stages I have ever seen, the valley of defilement gives off a horribly creepy vibe everywhere you go, like something really horrible happened there. It does feel a bit unfair at times but I guess thats the souls experience for ya.

Colonials marines, a game that's been delayed for years and we finally got it.

And its a huge pile of shit, to me this game represents one of the bigger problems within the industry, there's just no respect for the consumer anymore, Gearbox knew the game was subpar, they knew the game was broken and if that reddit post is to be believed, they flat out did not care about it, they said fuck it to it to focus on Borderlands 2 and just let it fester.

Yet despite all this they still had the gall to release it, it isn't just a bad game, it shits all over the lore to, they crafted a game that will piss off videogames and Aliens fans alike, and it costs 60 US dollars,

But like I said, its really a big trend in the games industry as of late, companies intentionally shipping broken ass games with the promise we'll patch it later, EA did it worse, intentionally holding back patches and forcing people to buy the expansions if they wanted the fix.

Its a really same that its come to this, maybe its just me but back in my era, gaming just seemed to have more passion to it, developers making these crazy projects and tossing them out there, things like Skyblazer or Congo's Caper, small budgets, small games but goddammit they where amazing and fun, nowdays its all about profit margins, and shareholders and stockholders, testers, programmers, artists are all treated like shit and expendable cogs, big huge budgets everywhere, dumbing down of franchises, companies obsessed with GIANT NUMBERS.

I think the entire industry could benefit from just toning things down a bit, not everything needs a billion dollar budget, and some companies are extremely arrogant and shouldn't expect their franchises to put the numbers when they've never done so in the first place, you gotta be realistic about things.

Anyway that's all from for now, thanks for reading!

This started as a reply but it got a bit long so let's make it into a blog.

This is mostly in reply to Jim's article regarding Square blaming the console market for less profits, here's the thing though, what's happening in consoles is a problem that's been plaguing the industry as a whole for years, the market gets flooded with copycats of the big thing, but I'm getting ahead of myself let's hop in our time machines a bit.

Remember arcades? Those glorious places filled with some of our favorite games, but do you also remember the sheer amount of beat em ups that existed in the 90's? A few with popular franchises came out suddenly everyone made one, we had good one like knights of the round and armored warriors, but we also had crap like Vendetta featuring not Hulk Hogan and totally not Mr. T, the same thing happened when Street Fighter exploded into the scene, sure we got Tekken and MK, but does anyone remember Time Killer? I sure do and boy was it shit.

Platformers where big but they didn't explode till this baby right here, DKC, one of the greatest games on the Super Nintendo, suddenly we had a huge mascot war, croc, bubsy, zool, all these characters designed for mass market appeal appeared accompanied by a platformer, this war would later continue on the PS2 with characters such as Ty The Tasmanian Tiger and Vexx I think it was.

Moving on.

Holy shitballs its Resident Evil, fear, tension ZAMBIES, the term Survival Horror is coined and a genre is born, once again we got loads of survival horror titles with clunky ass controls, stuff like Carrion, in one of the first examples of converting a game to mimic something it isn't Parasite Eve goes from an RPG to having Survival Horror controls and mechanics.

We move forward a bit more, WoW comes out and the MMO is flipped upside down, it becomes the single most popular MMO in history, 9 years later and companies are STILL trying to copy WoW in the hopes to get the big bucks, isn't it funny how Guild Wars 2, one of the few recent MMO's to try its own thing has enjoyed success, could it be because WoW players will play WoW and not a copycat?

Again another example of changing a game into what its not, Star Wars Galaxies, after WoW, SWG released a patch that turned it into WoW lite, it had the opposite effect, people left in droves because it turned the game into what it wasn't the worse thing is that SWG was one of the most unique MMO's of all time, it was EVE before Eve existed, everything was player run, bars, entertainers, weapon makers, doctors, they where all players, you could level entirely without lifting a finger against an enemy, Jedi's had to train in isolation and where strong as hell, so much so that the game had a class dedicated to Jedi's down if one revealed itself.

I loved SWG and I missed it so.

Which brings me to my current point.

Whenever the subject of a series being dumbed and such it seems CoD always pops up, but that's wrong, you're blaming the wrong thing, its like blaming the gun instead of the person that pulled the trigger.

Its unfortunate but the industry continues to play copycat much to the annoyance of the consumer, CoD was huge, it makes billions in a month, not millions, BILLIONS, who wouldn't want a piece of that delicious pie.

Here's one of the more egregious examples of doing it wrong, Capcom tried to appease everyone with this game, in the end it appeased no one and is quite possibly the most polarizing RE game in years, despite this it sold almost 5 milion, that's still quite good, not good enough for Capcom but still good and therein lies the issue.

Who the hell look at 5 million sold and calls that a failure? The industry is far to obsessed with huge numbers, I'm sure there's thousands of small devs who would kill for those kinds of numbers.

There's so much more than this to, the disaster that Ninja Gaiden 3 ended up being, all in the name of big numbers, all in the name the Call of Duty crowd.

For years and industry merely copies the big thing and quite frankly none of them have ever gotten it right, its a good thing that despite this we've gotten the amazing titles that we all remember over the years, things like Journey, anything by Clover when it was still around, Atlus RPG's and many, many more.

The games industry really just needs to sit down and focus, it needs to tone things down a bit, not everything needs gigantic billion dollar budgets, it needs to try to be a more creative in its endeavors, sequel mania needs to stop and more importantly, if you want to evolve your game then go right ahead but stick to your roots. 3D Mario games is how you do it right. Things like RE6, DmC, Medal of Honor, EA's policy of no single player games ever, that's how you do it wrong.

I love games, I don't wanna see the market crash again.

Anyway, thanks for reading, hope you enjoyed the trip down memory lane.

I wanna begin this blog by giving a big thank you to you all, thank you for every kind word in regards to my previous blog, it helps, more than most of you will never know, I honestly can't put it into words just how much your experiences and kind words helped. So thank you all.

I wish I could say the thing with Tiger was the worst thing that happened in 2012, but alas no, one more thing happened before the year ended, I lost my best friend, I was quite saddened of course but it felt different I guess, I had so much more to comfort in, but enough about that, let me just tell you about him and celebrate his life.

This is Devin, he was rude, abrasive, obnoxious, kind of a jerk and very slightly sexist sometimes.

And he was my best friend, I met him 14 years ago via my brother who just starting college, I didn't much of this strange person, I did take note of the funny way he walked, see the reason he's in what wheelchair is because he had muscular dystrophy, for those that don't muscular dystrophy is a degenerative disease, it attacks the muscles, all the muscles.

Anyway, eventually we got to talk to a lot and we found so many things in common, we both shared a huge love for videogames and RPG's, he also got me into Dragonball Z and was responsible of my DBZ craze via the first Brolly movie, a movie without sound I might add, it was just Goku and co beating the crap out of each other, but it was enough.

We spoke almost everyday after that, I still remember the 250 phone bill I ran up cause I used a cellphone to call him, we went to the movies, you name it, we did it.

We had a bit of a falling out after years, he joined this odd cult, I didn't like it, words where said, we spoke but not as much, a few months back I got a call saying he was in the hospital, heart problems, after the heart is just another muscle, at that point I realized nothing is enough to just stop talking like that, so I reached out to him and we reconnected once again.

Back in November he went once again into the hospital, same thing, heart stuff, I went to see him, we spoke, we had a good time with plans to coop stuff again once he was out.

That didn't happen sadly, the day after thanksgiving, at around 3:30am he passed away, there was no pain or any struggle, he was sleeping and he simply flat lined, he had signed a DNR so he went on his own terms.

I was a bit lost after his death I admit, much like what happened with Tiger, it just came out of nowhere, I figured he'd just come out of the hospital again just like always not to mention the unfulfilled promise, thankfully his whole family was there, his older brother, we sort of just found comfort in each other and it became a bit easier to mourn his passing, after awhile I began to think of ways to dedicate something to him and celebrate his life, I think talking about it here is a good idea so let's get to it.

MMX, his favorite game of all time, he actually got me into the X games thanks to this, he was quite passionate about the series in general, its funny really, during the period he passed there where tons of news regarding Megaman and I couldn't look at any of it without crying, it just reminded me of him so much, now I realize the franchise is a great way to remember him.

I did an X playthrough in his honor, even took a weird route to spice things up, the end goal as always was to defeat Sigma but this time it was different, it felt different, I didn't want to beat him, I didn't want it to end, but Devin was a compleationist, it would have wrong to not finish what I started so down Sigma went, it helped me a lot in just thinking about him and all the great things we shared.

Here's another he loved, he got this one for a birthday, I say Bukodai was the one where everything got it right, the storyline was fun along with the alternative endings and it had the biggest cast, course we just both picked Goku anyway.

You guys ever seen that MS Paint comic where a kid is explaining the virtues of SF3 and they both just end up picking Ryu anyway? That was us, just go Goku, SS4 and kick the shit out of each other.

Dude was crazy, in like 3 days he had 100% the game and had every capsule and char, course we just punching each other with Gokus.

This here, this is the friendship ender, not mario party, Double Dash Coop was responsible for so many arguments between us two and a near fistfight, we where so-so close to finishing that all star cup but a mistimed sideways hit sent us flying into the water, we decided to drop it for the sake of our friendship.

Never did beat that damn all star cup, maybe I should give it another swing for him.

He never did like any other BoF game, 3 was it, his masterpiece and favorite RPG, Garr, Rei, Momo, Peco and of course Ryu and Nina, again he just broke this game wide open, max level, best equipment set-ups, Myria didn't have a chance with his party, he liked it so much he imported the UK only PSP version.

I wasn't the biggest fan but I enjoyed watching him play, took us hours to get through that stupid desert thanks to an incorrect translation but we made it.

Not so much a videogame, but a game never the less, didn't care much for the anime but boy did he love it and the cards to boot, I never beat him once, he always destroyed me with his insane decks, closest I ever came was a poison deck I created, alas part of the poison effect was me taking damage as well, after all that I was done in by my own hubris, rather ironic wen I think about it.

Anyway, that's about it for this particular blog, I'm happy to have shared this with all of you and more importantly, I'm happy to remember him like this, my gaming buddy, I'm not in any hurry to die but I can't say I'm afraid it anymore knowing who's waiting for me up there, we'll have our coop date yet.

Rest in peace my brother and I will see you on the other side.
