Destructoid is an open discussion community. You don't need to "audition" to post a comment - just speak your mind. We respect differing opinions on the site, so have at it. Be smart, funny, insightful, clueless, or cute -- but back it up with substance. Keep your cool, keep it fun. We only ask that you act respectfully and above all: don't be a troll and ruin it for everyone else. Don't bring down gamers or we'll, you know, gently shoot you in the face and stuff you into a flaming mailbox. Each comment is your opportuntity to make this community awesomer. Is that even a word?
Avoiding the banhammer only requires common sense: spamming, trolling, racism, NSFW stuff, and other forms of sucking will not be tolerated. If anyone is griefing please report abuse. Be good. Don't suck!
But yeah, the mile high one looks insnae, but you just have to know the short cuts, and make really good use of the flash bangs, like the guuy in the video does.
That one's mine. Teaches you how to beat it in a more secure way, that way you don't have to fail as much to get it proper on a random basis.
eventually
Awesome, I can't wait to use it. As matter of fact your video is a million times better. I'm adding it to the post
@weedgan
Is that the one with the snipers? If so, for some reason I got through it a lot faster on Veteran than I did on Hardened. Once I finally got to the Ferris Wheel it only took my one time to get through it.
You automatically fail if you don't do the headshot. If you shoot anywhere else, the screen fades out and it says "Veterans go for headshots"
The general idea with the video however, was to give others the sense of the invisible lines where your AI would do most of the work, while you would just advance in the fastest manner to break those lines so the AI would go forward.
It's really just the final stretch on the second floor after the last flashbang that's random (sometimes the flashbanged hostiles will be in your way as you try to run forward) - the rest can totally be manipulated to be passable on every try, if you follow my video, that is.
Ahhhhh, yeah I figured it may do something like that. But I wasn't sure 'cause everything I had seen was doing headshots. I only just restarted on Veteran recently so I haven't gotten nearly that far. Makes sense. That's why I was just wondering.
The trick is to run past most of them and let your team-mates clear up, the fastest time I did it is with 15 seconds left on the clock. Also I think its a guaranteed kill with the last guy if you run up to him and knife him, the hostage won't be damaged as it locks onto the terrorist.
Yeah, thats the one at the ferris wheel at the end, so hard. You must be a legend if you beat it one try on veteran, hahah, it always gives me trouble.
